Although there is still at least a year to go before the official release, Rolls-Royce has not only officially announced that its two two two-door models Wraith and Dawn have stopped receiving orders, but also released the brand's first mass-produced pure electric vehicle yesterday (3/30) without warning: Spectre in the cold Swedish Arjeplog snow test video and photos, and revealed that the prototype will be tested in a variety of extreme weather and road conditions before the official mass production (fourth quarter of 2023), and will cumulatively test the driving 250 under various extreme weather and road conditions 10,000 kilometers, which is the average rolls-Royce driving 400 years!
Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Müller-tv s said: "In order for the Spectre to have the same road texture as each Rolls-Royce, we will be driving the Spectre prototype for a test of up to 2.5 million kilometers, and we have now completed 25% of the phase, and the results will certainly meet ambitious expectations."
In fact, as early as the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, Rolls-Royce had already announced the brand's first pure electric prototype sedan: the 102EX (above), and in 2016, it showed the brand's imagination of electric vehicles with 103EX (below).
The original factory also revealed that the winter test in arjeplog, Sweden, near the polar circle, not only allows engineers to record the condition of the battery at low temperatures, but also to test the spectre's handling performance on low-grip roads; in addition, in the face of low temperatures from -26 degrees Celsius to -40 degrees Celsius, Rolls-Royce engineers can also conduct low temperature tests on materials, air conditioning and power systems.
Mihiar Ayoubi, Rolls-Royce Engineering Director, said: "At Arjeplog, we have established an important foundation and will build a real Rolls-Royce on this basis.
