Compared with the data of the three major operators, China Mobile has been far ahead in terms of revenue scale and net profit scale, becoming the "top stream" of the three.
In 2021, China Mobile achieved operating income of 848.258 billion yuan, an increase of 10.4% year-on-year, greatly exceeding 2.97% in 2020 and hitting a new high in recent years. The net profit attributable to the parent company was 115.937 billion yuan, an increase of 7.5% year-on-year. Digital transformation revenue was 159.4 billion yuan, an increase of 26.3% year-on-year, and its contribution to the increase in main business revenue reached 59.5%.
China Mobile Communications Group Co., Ltd. is a central enterprise established on April 20, 2000 and is the earliest operator in China. Because of this, China Mobile has a lot of valuable and marketless number segments, and even once called "antique number", such as "1380" and "1390" two number segments, the users who have these two number segments are naturally very few, even if they are not rich or expensive. So, what is so special about these two segments?
The reason why it is called "Antique Number" has a lot to do with the time of its release. At first, the domestic mobile phone number was only six digits, and the first four digits could not be changed by users because they involved key information such as regions, and only the last two digits could be freely selected by users. After years of development, operators finally began to release new number segments in 1995, and the combination of 11 mobile phone numbers entered the eyes of consumers.
So why do the 1380 and 1390 segments still have the name "Boss"? This is because mobile phones in the 80s and 90s were very expensive. The average user simply can't afford a mobile phone. Usually, only wealthy businessmen, bosses, or leaders can buy it. Therefore, at that time, the mobile phone could be said to be a symbol of status, and these two number segments were also called "boss numbers".

Today, more than 30 years later, the two number segments of "1380" and "1390" are basically priceless, and it is even more difficult to buy these two number segments. After all, if it were not for the sudden disaster at home, few rich people would now put their mobile phone numbers that they have used for more than 30 years for money, right? Perhaps because of this, the two number segments of "1380" and "1390" are also difficult to see now.
Under the concept of "rare things are precious", 1380 and 1390 are particularly precious, and their collection value has increased over time. In addition, in the current era of rapid development, mobile phone package tariffs are also constantly upgrading. These two slots have the cleanest mobile phone packages. If the user does not upgrade the mobile phone plan, the monthly rent of 1380 and 1390 may only be 3 yuan.
Of course, the mobile phone numbers of these two number segments not only have a high collection value, but also users will have other benefits. As we all know, China Mobile has a set of user level assessments, the longer the user uses, the higher the star rating, and naturally will enjoy more benefits. For old users, China Mobile also launches preferential activities such as free delivery of airtime, traffic, and broadband from time to time, and old users will also enjoy privileges such as telephone overdraft.
Especially at the moment when number portability is fully implemented, mobile users have launched more cost-effective packages in order to retain old users. In the past, in order to attract new users, China Mobile only launched cost-effective packages for new users, but after the full implementation of number portability, China Mobile also launched low-fee, high-traffic packages for old users.
Of course, in addition to China Mobile, other operators also have their own value of the existence of mobile phone number segments, including China Telecom and China Unicom. Different operators have different number segments, and the value will be different. No matter which operator's number segment, even if it is not the first batch, but it is the one that has been used for the longest time, it is completely unnecessary to replace, after all, the number segment can sometimes be retained as a lucky number of its own.
It is worth mentioning that in addition to the "boss number" and "antique number", the "leopard number" has also been welcomed by users, including "666", "888", "999" and other mobile phone numbers. In particular, the beautiful number of the series of numbers is even more difficult to find. In August 2021, the Dong'an District Court in Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province, auctioned a group of beautiful numbers with the tail number "9999", and was auctioned for 46,500 yuan in half an hour.
