In 1965, Carlyle was born in Burkina Faso, Africa, and Curie was a little learned, learning that this place was thanks to a video last year by Station B @ Little John Khan.
In his words, this "ghost place" has a sense of existence similar to the air in potato chips, and the per capita education level is similar to that of prenatal education.
The dry season is extremely long, the temperature is as high as 45 °C, and although the rainy season is short, the torrential rains have swept the ground and collapsed.
Every year on the list of "the world's seven poorest countries", no water, electricity and no medical institutions, so-called: "in the past life did not cultivate, born in Africa."
But Carlyle always said, "I'm lucky. ”
He is the son of the mayor of Gando and was one of the first children in the village to have the opportunity to study.
At the age of 7, he left his hometown more than 20 kilometers away to go to primary school in the city.
It is said to be "primary school", more like a cement-covered sarcophagus, more than 100 people crowded, stuffy and hot, not to mention reading, slippers are hot melted.
In 1985, he took a scholarship to Germany to study work-study, learning to build a shed carpentry during the day and supplementing the middle school curriculum at night.
At the age of 30, Carlyle was admitted to the Technical University of Berlin.
After graduation, he could have found a job in a big city at will, and he was at ease, but he couldn't forget that scene.
Every year, before leaving home for school, the village woman would dig out a coin from the corner of her coat and stuff it into his palm.

This clay is Gando's "poor man's material", everywhere, the poor dig up some soil to build a straw as a house, but this thing, when the rainstorm comes, the yang house becomes a yin house.
The villagers shook their heads, and Carlyle built a vault with clay bricks overnight, and at dawn he stood on it and shouted:
"Folks, believe me, do it together!"
The townspeople walked up to the top of the vault in disbelief, jumped from running to jumping, and finally laughed at Carlyle.
Carlyle lobbied everywhere and the whole village mobilized, he said: "This is not my work, it is Gando's school!" ”
This is good, some people recommend where the clay is the best, some people teach how to build mud bricks without collapsing, some people say that our family still has two donkeys, all pulled.
Men move brick walls bare-chested, women line up with clay pots to support, and children dig everywhere barefoot.

He designed a "double roof" structure, with the first layer of mud bricks, ventilated and breathable, and the second layer of iron hanging in the air to protect the wind and rain.
Hot air is discharged between the two floors, and cold air is filtered, which saves the air conditioning fan.
The money saved was all used to buy teaching equipment, tables, chairs and benches.
After its completion, the number of students enrolled in Gando Primary School soared from 120 to 700, almost 6 times.

Gando Elementary School won Carlyle the "Aga Khan Architecture Award", and after becoming famous in World War I, investment poured in and his company came into being.

Carlyle declined the big boss's big project and ran back to his hometown.
"In Burkina Faso, young people have to leave their homes to earn money, and when I bring the project back, they can reunite and support their families."
In 2010, he designed the "Opera Village", which still uses the surrounding clay, redstone and wood.
Carlyle knew that the villagers could not understand the design drawings, so he first made the design into a model, and then taught the young people to build a village by hand.
The opera village is spiral-shaped, taking the meaning of "infinite life", which contains schools, communities, and medical centers.
From then on, children do not have to be separated from their parents in order to study.
In 2014, Carlyle designed Schulg Middle School.
He was originally the son of a farmer, and seeing that the surrounding eucalyptus trees could not be eaten without shade and nutrients, he simply cut down them to make a fence wall.
Sunlight penetrates the trunk, ensuring sunlight and blocking out the heat.
But trees are not cut down for free, and Carlyle knows the truth that "it is better to give them fish than to give them fish".
He launched the "Mango Project" in the local area, teaching the villagers to plant mango trees, which are large and shady, and the fruits can be fed.
He asked each student to take care of a fruit tree, under which the children played, studied, and by the time the mangoes were fragrant, they had grown up.

Over the next decade, Carlyle's projects sprung up in their homeland.
He pulled sponsorships, brought projects, taught techniques, used scraps from local quarries, dug clay that didn't cost money, and hired men, women, and children from the village.
