"Sleeping for thousands of years, waking up to shock the world", Sanxingdui ancient Shu culture is 4800 years old, and many national treasures and tens of thousands of exquisite cultural relics have been excavated from the site, which is known as the "source of Yangtze River civilization". Sanxingdui Site Museum is located 40 kilometers from Chengdu, on the banks of the West Duck River in Guanghan City. The interior of the park is densely covered with vegetation and surrounded by water systems, and buildings such as the Visitor Center, Hall 1, Hall 2, Research Hall, Cultural and Creative Hall, and Cultural Protection Center are scattered among them.

The new sanxingdui museum plan was designed by the team of the Southwest Design and Research Institute of China Architecture. Liu Yi, chief designer of Sanxingdui New Museum and chief architect of China Construction Southwest Design Institute, told reporters: "We analyzed the mutual location relationship between Hall 1, Hall 2, New Hall and Visitor Center, compared the advantages and disadvantages of the four combination modes, selected a layout strategy of turning zero into a whole, and integrated the design of the new hall and the visitor center. ”

How can a beautiful design be at the same time full of meaning?
Liu Yi said that we will continue to develop the classic spiral curve outer wall of the old museum, and extract the lines from the ancient cultural relics of Sanxingdui as the control curve of the shape and internal space of the three piles. The roof of the building is inclined, and the fading blends into the site, echoing with the shape of the No. 1 Pavilion left and right, and the building forms three overlying piles arranged along the central axis, implying "stacking three stars".

The reporter learned that tourists can enter the multi-functional service front hall from the front district square, complete the ticket collection, bag storage, consultation and other services, enter the visitor center hall through the left security checkpoint, feel the Sanxingdui civilization in the dome cinema hall and the digital cinema hall, through the electronic sand table area, digital library, through the sun corridor, into the museum, and unfold the full streamline viewing exhibition.
Flexible layout
Entering the time-space spiral sequence hall, the spiral staircase surrounds the bronze Da Liren sculpture with a scale magnified by 6 times, which is enough for visitors to truly feel the shock of the ancient Shu civilization "sleeping for a thousand years and waking up the masses".
Liu Yi introduced that through the preface hall, the audience can enter the exhibition hall of "Ancient City and Ancient Country" in turn, the exhibition hall of "Ancient Shu Civilization Exchange", and the exhibition hall of "Archaeological Excavation Process". After visiting the first floor, through the spiral staircase, enter the "amphitheater" on the second floor to watch the sitcom, and then visit the exhibition hall of "Art, Mythology and Sacrifice", the exhibition hall of "Cultural Relics and Heavy Objects", and the exhibition hall of "New Archaeological Achievements".
The Eye of Ancient Shu
Through the expressive eyes, the bronze mask of GuShu seems to be engaged in a dialogue with the audience through time and space. In terms of scheme conception, the eye also serves as a window for dialogue between the interior space of the building and the external heritage park, cleverly accommodating the two spaces of "Space-time Spiral Sequence Hall" and "Circular Flow Ancient and Modern Theater".
Coming here, in the "Time and Space Spiral Sequence Hall", the circular bronze staircase spirals downward around the bronze Da Liren, echoing with the atrium of the second hall spiraling upward around the bronze sacred tree, exploring the source of ancient Shu downwards, and unfolding the future journey upwards, "in response to heaven and earth", forming a dialogue and inheritance between new and old buildings.
At the "Circular Stream Ancient and Modern Theater", visitors can watch a sitcom from the ancestors of the ancient Shu Dynasty, or stop through the "eyes" to enjoy the scenery of the old museum and ruins.
The façade adopts glass curtain wall and bronze sunshade, and the pile part adopts dry-hung beige stone slabs, which contrast between virtual and real, forming the iconic "Eye of Ancient Shu" of Sanxingdui.
