One of the owners of Guangxi "caught fire". On March 23, 2022, according to Guangming Network, a major fire broke out in a residential area in Hezhou, Guangxi Province, because the owner did not unplug the mobile phone charger in the living room. As soon as this matter was issued, it immediately rushed to the hot search, causing heated discussion among everyone: it was just that the small mobile phone charger would actually have such a big harm.

Afterwards, the property department contacted the person concerned to retrieve the surveillance video in the home and learned the whole process of the matter: the owner unplugged the mobile phone charging in the living room at about twelve o'clock in the afternoon, but did not remove the charger, but attached it to the living room jack and hurriedly left the house. For about half an hour or so, there was a noticeable fire from the charger and jack, and in a few moments it ignited the surrounding sand, and after just a few minutes, the fire spread rapidly and swallowed up the other combustible materials in the living room, which led to a fire.
In fact, this kind of thing is no longer unique. As early as 2015, during the cold winter month, a residential building in Shenyang city was billowing smoke, and firefighters arrived and immediately extinguished the fire of the wrecked rental house. The rental house was a mess: the fire point was a row behind the coffee table, the TV set above the coffee table had been scorched in a corner, the flame spread to the futon next to the coffee table, and the whole bed was burned to darkness. After the investigation, the cause of the fire was also that the owner did not unplug the mobile phone charger in time.
Coincidentally, in July 2016, according to the surging news network, Ms. Li of Fujian charged at night, unplugged the mobile phone but did not unplug the charger, in her sleep, Ms. Li was awakened by the explosion from the living room, came to the living room, saw that the charging head with the jack had deflagged, all the sockets of the plug had been scorched, fortunately, she found that it did not cause a catastrophe in time.
Many netizens have expressed a breath of cool air when they see these messages: because many people have become accustomed to not unplugging the charger after the charge, and even many people directly try to save trouble, leaving the charger directly "permanently" at the plug. Let's take a look at what kind of impact this little charger will have.
First of all, if the charger is not unplugged after charging, it will cause energy consumption problems. Many people may think that not charging the electrical device, just bringing the charger on it will not consume any energy; but this is not the case. Common mobile phone chargers will still have an output of about 200 mAh in the case of no load, which may not seem like much in the short term. But if the base goes up, the world's hundreds of millions of mobile phone users add up, the loss can be outrageous. In addition, in recent years, mobile phone manufacturers have vigorously promoted high-power chargers, up to 120, 144 watt-hours, so that the loss caused by it will be greater (but there are still some manufacturers that use intelligent monitoring, only use high power when necessary, so there will not necessarily be higher power consumption than before)
The next thing to talk about is the security issue that people are concerned about.
First, what kind of charger will cause quality problems such as deflagration and explosion?
In general, the use of the manufacturer's original distribution of the charger, or the official power adapter (after all, a large part of the mobile phone manufacturers are no longer supplied with the mobile phone charger), there will be no safety hazards; but do not rule out the use of too long, or long-term use in the high temperature and high pressure environment after the problem.
There is also a situation, that is, "emergency to the doctor", "chaotic point Mandarin duck spectrum"; many people can not find their own mobile phone original charger, often like to take another mobile phone or other equipment charger to charge, thinking that as long as the interface is the same can "do whatever you want"; as everyone knows, the adapter specifications made by different manufacturers are not the same, if the power is too low, there may only be slow charging, but if the power is too high, the light mobile phone battery is damaged, and the heavy one will cause deflagration.
Why does the second unplugging charger cause a fire?
Even if the manufacturer's original adapted charger, if it is attached to the plug for a long time, it will keep it in a working state, and because there is no electrical equipment at the output end, in the long run, it will accelerate the aging of the internal components of the charger, if it is an internal circuit aging fault, it will cause the charger capacitor to be broken down, short circuit, etc., then it is likely to burst into Mars or even cause deflagration.
In order to prevent the occurrence of safety accidents, what do we need to do in life?
First of all, to choose the regular manufacturer, model adaptation of the charger to power the mobile phone, tablet, etc., do not use the charger that is too old to charge, if you find that its external has been burned or damaged, you should immediately stop using.
The second is to go out in time to cut off the power, not only to unplug the charger, in addition to the refrigerator other power supply should be checked off, to prevent problems in advance, if the time to go out for a long time, you should cut off the main gate switch.
There is also a specification to use chargers or other electrical equipment, do not let a plug load too large electrical appliances, try to distribute different electrical appliances to different lines, to avoid overload.
Finally, you should avoid using your phone while charging. This habit is believed that many people will have; especially when brushing dramas or playing games at night, in order to prevent insufficient power, the charger will be connected to "continue to fight", as everyone knows, there is also a certain risk in doing so.
In December 2020, the hospital in Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province, received a teenager with burns, and the local reporter went to interview to learn that the teenager was an accident that occurred when he played the mobile phone with the charger at noon: at that time, he was playing a game, and after a while he felt a little sleepy, he put down the rest first, and when he picked it up again, the mobile phone in his hand exploded in an instant, and the pants of the teenager who were caught off guard were blown up, and the legs were seriously injured and there was a lot of blood when he boarded; after being sent to the hospital, the doctor examined and found that the internal blood vessels of his thighs, Neuromuscular and other countries have appeared visible to the naked eye to varying degrees of black scorch phenomenon, and finally after several hours of debridement, the teenager gradually got out of the danger of life.
Of course, after a detailed understanding of the incident, it was learned that the teenager used an old cottage mobile phone that had been used for a long time, and many of the electrical components inside the mobile phone had aged, and more seriously, the teenager used a non-original charger to charge, which led to the tragedy.
Nevertheless, it is not that there is no problem in playing while charging with a new mobile phone, a mobile phone repair master pointed out: all mobile phones loaded batteries (generally lithium batteries) will have some safety hazards, so try to avoid charging while using, so as to avoid accidents.
This real case reminds us all the time: safety is no small matter. Even if it is a small, inconspicuous mobile phone charger, it may cause great harm; in addition to going out in time to cut off the power, develop the habit of "charging and plugging in", but also pay attention not to try to buy inferior products and three no products cheaply, and the safety of electricity should always be kept in mind, so that safety accidents can be avoided as much as possible.
