  Recently, the evaluation results of the 13th Liaoning Youth Science and Technology Award were announced, and Professor Li Xuepeng of the School of Food Science and Engineering of Bohai University won this honor, and won the title of "Top Ten Talents" of the Liaoning Youth Science and Technology Award.

  The Liaoning Youth Science and Technology Award is an important award to encourage young scientific and technological workers in Liaoning Province to dedicate themselves to the cause of science and technology, bravely climb the peak of science, and serve the revitalization of Liaoning, and has been held for thirteen sessions so far. A total of 46 youth science and technology awards were selected in the province, of which only 10 were "top ten talents".

  It is understood that Professor Li Xuepeng has long been engaged in research on the storage and processing of aquatic products and safety control, and is a well-known young scholar in this field. Its research has deep academic achievements in the key technologies and theoretical research of bulk aquatic products storage and preservation, deep processing and quality and safety control, and its research has revealed the molecular mechanism of deterioration and corruption of seawater fish quality, innovated and developed aquatic product freshness evaluation, storage preservation theory and key technologies, invented the key technologies of deep processing and high-value utilization of by-products of bulk aquatic products such as squid and seawater fish, providing important theoretical and technical support for solving the problems of aquatic product processing industry and improving the economic efficiency of enterprises. He has presided over more than 10 projects of the National Key R&D Program, published more than 60 SCI/EI papers as the first or corresponding author, and authorized more than 20 national invention patents. He has won 1 second prize of national science and technology progress, 1 china industry-university-research cooperation innovation award, 3 special prizes of national commercial science and technology progress, 2 science and technology innovation awards of China Food Science and Technology Society, and 1 first prize of Liaoning Provincial University Scientific and Technological Achievement Transformation Competition.
