In 2023, this is presumably the closest time for Face ID under the screen. Bloomberg Mark Gullman has said that Apple will choose the face ID technology under the screen to create a true full-screen iPhone. So it seems that the real full-screen iPhone, faster than we expected?
But don't be too happy too soon.

Since Face ID can be hidden under the screen, why not hide the camera together? This may be related to Samsung's off-screen camera technology.
Samsung's off-screen camera technology was launched last year and was first applied to galaxy Z Fold 3 folding screen phones. The machine uses a laser drilling solution, combined with eco2 OLED panels with higher light transmittance, optimized pixel aperture, and technology to reduce chromatic aberration, making the off-screen camera a reality.
