Liu Yudong's short story "Fragrant Morning", Luo Weizhang's novella "Mirror City", Shu Cai's poem "Song of Grace", Pang Yuliang's essay "On That Wet Plain", and Cong Xinqiang's commentary "Literary Life: Literary Directions in the Context of Global Dialogueism" won awards for novels, poems, essays and theories respectively.
Liu Yudong's "Fragrant Morning" tells the rural past in the depths of time from the perspective of childhood, exploring the reality and humanity, love and affection, as well as the difficult situation of mutual understanding and integration between people and the environment, people and people, and the poetic warmth and cruel story constitute a huge artistic tension and release a thrilling force.
Luo Weizhang constructs a novel's "Mirror City" with multiple mirror images of history and the present, city and countryside, reality and fiction, presents a state of existence that is both true and illusory, also dream and dream, alternating between life and death, history and reality in the way of "drama within the play", and in the memories and imaginations of personal encounters and the history of his home country, he writes the entanglement of reality logic and historical paradoxes, the self-examination of spiritual allegory and value destination.
Shu Cai's "Song of Solomon" expresses complexity with simplicity, conveys depth with clarity, and explores love and existence with monologue and dialogue. The verses are simple and clear, the inner rhythm of the pulsation, the endless sorrow and affection, the poetic speech and the ideological meaning have been perfectly blended, and finally reach a philosophical and metaphysical clarity.
Pang Yuliang's "On that Wet Plain" continues to write about the terroirs and trees of his hometown of northern Jiangsu, and constructs a person's spiritual and geographical homeland. Those fragmented memories of people and things are met, told, written and forgotten in the wet mist of water, becoming the most painful part of literature.
Cong Xinqiang's "Literary Life: Literary Directions in the Context of Global Dialogueism" explores the new field and new path of literary research in the context of the era of globalized media. Through the analysis of concepts such as "self and other" and "dialogue and action", the new value judgments hidden in "literary life" are revealed, which is not only an effective supplement and transcendence of existing critical discourse, but also a rational construction of the future interaction ecology between literature and society.
Jointly sponsored by Wansongpu College, Ludong University, Shandong Education Publishing House and Shandong Literature Museum, the "Wansongpu Literature Award" is designed to reward Chinese writing, upholding the principle of fair, pure and independent awarding, advocating new thinking and new contexts, and pursuing new atmosphere and new heights. The prize is awarded annually and consists of awards for fiction, poetry, prose, and theory.
In accordance with the prescribed procedures of the Wansongpu Literature Prize, the preliminary evaluation committee will select 15 (first) shortlisted works from the entries, submit them to the final evaluation committee, and evaluate the final winning works by secret ballot.
