Among them, Nissan Xuanyi sold 33,316 vehicles, an increase of 25.0% year-on-year; Volkswagen Langyi sold 32,037 vehicles, up 142.1% year-on-year.
Toyota Corolla sales picked up, ranking third with sales of 22,725 units, up 10,000 units from the previous month and down 8.0% year-on-year. Its sibling model, The Leiling, sold 10,236 units in February, ranking seventh, down 26.7% year-on-year.
Although Volkswagen Bora and Sagitar are still in the top five, sales have fallen significantly. Among them, Bora sold 15,300 vehicles in February, down 26.5% year-on-year; Sagitar sold 12,610 vehicles, down 34.2% year-on-year.
Chevrolet Cruze continued to sell more than 10,000 units to 11,490 units, slightly higher than last month's 10,591 units, up 733.2% year-on-year. The Cruze was once a very popular model, but last year's sales declined, and in the first two months of this year, sales exceeded 10,000 units, and they were gradually re-accepted by consumers.
Honda Civic sold 9,776 units, ranking eighth, up 36.4% year-on-year. As the benchmark model of the sports sedan, Honda Civic sold an average of more than 20,000 units per month in 2020, but last year's sales were not ideal, with an average monthly sales of only about 13,000 units.
Compared with the same period last year, Buick Yinglang's sales volume fell very much. In February, Buick Yinglang's wholesale sales were only 8603 units, ranking ninth, down 66.4% year-on-year.
Other joint venture compact cars with better sales in February were: Volkswagen Santana sold 7535 units, Buick Veyron sold 6318 units, Mazda Oncella sold 5649 units, Nissan Qida sold 5396 units, and Honda model sold 5014 units.
