In addition to the donkey meat fire, the small town exploration hall | and the ancient city also has a stunning museum

Soucheng 101 launched the "Small Town Exploration Museum", specially inviting outstanding librarians from all over the country to search for those small town museums in China that are worth punching in.

Today, writer and history blogger Sun Jia will be invited to recommend the Baoding Museum in Baoding City, Hebei Province.

When it comes to Baoding, everyone's first reaction is probably donkey meat burning. Few people know that this small city has a long history of more than three thousand years. It has been the stronghold of Gyeonggi since ancient times, and is the hometown of Emperor Yao, where Yan and Zhongshan were established during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States period.

Baoding, together with Beijing and Tianjin, constitutes a golden triangle, and since ancient times, it has been the "place of thoroughfare" of "controlling sanguan in the north, reaching nine provinces in the south, four parts of dilian, and xiongguan zhongzhou". Yan culture, Han culture, zhili culture, red culture... These complete historical footprints of Baoding City can be seen in the museum on the shore of the East Lake.

Sun Jia is a member of the Hunan Writers Association, a national second-class writer, and a history tourism blogger

So chengjun: Please briefly introduce the Baoding Museum.

Sun Jia: The new Baoding Museum is located on the east side of the Guanhanqing Grand Theater on Qiyi East Road and opens in 2021. The new museum has a total of 8 exhibition halls, including 3 exhibition halls of "Baoding Story", 1 exhibition hall of "Baoding Memory" Intangible Cultural Heritage, 1 exhibition hall of fine cultural relics, 1 exhibition hall of science and technology interaction, and 2 temporary exhibition halls. The exhibition hall uses the combination of exhibition panels, scene restoration, AR, VR and other panoramic presentation methods to excavate and show the characteristic regional culture of Baoding City in an all-round way, and the whole history recreates the historical trajectory from the Paleolithic Laishui Homo sapiens to the contemporary Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development of Baoding.

So chengjun: What do you think is the treasure of the Baoding Museum?

Sun Jia: One is the 51-centimeter-high Western Zhou Dynasty site– the largest known pottery mane in all of China. Pottery bristles are ancient Chinese pottery cookware. There are also two most famous Eastern Han bronze horses excavated from the Xushui Fangling Han Tomb, one of which is 1.16 meters high and 0.7 meters long, and the other is 1.13 meters high and 0.66 meters long. According to the staff of the museum, the two bronze horses of the Eastern Han Dynasty are the treasures of the museum, "on behalf of Hebei culture and Baoding culture, they have gone abroad and participated in foreign tour exhibitions for many times." ”

Using holographic 360-degree technology, the museum displays the Changxin Palace Lamp, a national treasure-level cultural relic excavated from the Mancheng Han Tomb. This cultural relic is in the collection of the Hebei Provincial Museum. Because the treasures and cultural relics excavated from the Han tombs in Baoding are not in Baoding, the Baoding Museum only has some pottery.

This year is the Year of the Tiger, and there is also a national first-class cultural relic related to the tiger in the Baoding Museum - the Warring States Tiger Shaped Gold Ornament.

The tiger is one of the sacred beasts worshipped by the ancient northern steppe peoples, and the cultural relics with tiger as the theme are very common. Tiger-shaped gold ornaments from the Baoding Museum were excavated from the Shunping Tanshan Tombs. During the Warring States period, Shunping belonged to the Zhongshan Kingdom, which was founded by the Xianyu ethnic minority. Zhongshan Kingdom is precious to gold. This tiger-shaped gold ornament is made of Crouching Tiger shape, made of pure gold, certified to be 99% pure, and embedded with turquoise. Because the form is very delicate, some tourists will mistakenly think that it is a cat.

So chengjun: Baoding Dingzhou porcelain is very famous, is there a related exhibition hall of Dingzhou porcelain in the museum?

Sun Jia: Yes, in the exhibition hall on the second floor. Here are the precious porcelain products of the Tang and Song dynasties, including a Song white glaze printed dragon pattern plate, which is exquisite in craftsmanship and can be called a representative work of printing technology.

Sojo-jun: Is there any exhibition that particularly impressed you?

Sun Jia: When I went, there was "Finding France - Exhibition of Historical Materials and Cultural Relics of the CPC Branch in Europe", which has very detailed materials, using cultural relics documents, historical pictures and charts, texts, ship models, multimedia and other systems to show the production, development, main activities and historical merits of the CPC Branch in Europe.

Few people know that the "work-study in France" is actually from Baoding Gaoyang Bri Village, because one of the earliest Chinese students studying in France, Li Shi, is a Gaoyang Bri person, who loves to eat tofu and wants to set up a "Paris Chinese Tofu Factory" in the western suburbs of Paris, but where will the French who have never seen tofu make tofu? Li Shisuo decided to recruit Chinese workers to go to France in his hometown, and first set up a tofu company training class in Bri Village, where the workers learned the technique and simple French before going to France to work; for those who were willing to go to France, a large amount of settlement fees were paid first, and the clothing fees and travel expenses to France were also solved by the tofu company. In the second half of 1908, the first batch of Chinese workers in History to Go to France embarked on a long journey from land to France.

Many revolutionaries of the older generation on the mainland have studied in France, such as Cai Hesen, Xiang Jingyu, Zhao Shiyan, Zhou Enlai, Deng Xiaoping, Chen Yi, and Nie Rongzhen. Among the exhibits is an original letter to the policeman written to his parents in Beijing Chinese New Year's Eve on January 31, 1919. The letter reads: "When the child arrived in Beijing, he did not receive the hand of the adult, and the old calendar year has passed, and the festival is missing relatives, and the victory is sad!" The child's plan has not yet been decided, but it is roughly within the scope of half-work and half-reading. Reading French every day is also enjoyable. ”

The great patriotic spirit of these revolutionaries in saving lives, seeking truth, studying abroad to serve the country, and dedicating themselves to their homeland is really particularly touching.
