Second, the praise of the lord; second, the honor; second, fear; second, insult. Therefore there is not enough faith, and there is unbelief. It's like a noble word. When the work is accomplished, the people know: I am natural.
Lao Tzu said: The truly great monarch, the people only know that he exists, the others know nothing; the worse, the people love him; the worse, the people praise him; the worse people are afraid of him, and the worse people insult him. So because of the lack of confidence, I don't believe. He hesitated as if his words were more expensive. When things were successfully accomplished, the people said, "I was like this!"
As a sage of the Chinese nation, Lao Tzu did nothing in his life, and when he left the Hangu Valley in the west, he left behind a great work that shook the ancient and modern times, "Tao Te Ching". In the Tao Te Ching, Lao Tzu expounds that behind the movement of heaven and earth is the fertilization of the "Tao", and the operation of the Tao follows the principle of "the movement of the opposite Tao, the movement of the weak Dao".
In this chapter, Lao Tzu focuses on how monarchs who are diligent and love the people often behave, and how he thinks that great monarchs behave, and how monarchs who are disgusted by the people behave. Lao Tzu said, "The truly great monarch must know only of its existence and know nothing else; the worse, the people love him; the worse, the people praise him; the worse, the people fear him; the worse the people insult him." As a sage of the Chinese nation, Lao Tzu achieved his status as the founding ancestor of The Taoists, one of the three major schools of thought of the Chinese nation, through a "Tao Te Ching". His great deeds are unique even in the history of world civilization. Lao Tzu is the object of eternal reverence and worship of my descendants such as me.
