"The world is high, mo ruo yellow emperor", the yellow emperor is the ancestor of the Chinese nation's humanities, is the embodiment of the Chinese humanistic spirit. The Yellow Emperor culture with the essence of "Dingxin", "Grand Duke" and "Zhonghe" is the root of the Chinese nation and a culture of contemporary value and world significance in the excellent traditional culture.
Sponsored by the Management Committee of the New Zhenghuangdi Hometown Scenic Area and the Yellow Emperor's Hometown Foundation of Henan Province, organized by the Henan Zhongzhou Academy of Literature and Painting and Calligraphy, the Cultural Development Research Institute of the Hometown of the New Zhenghuangdi, and co-organized by the Institute of Calligraphy and Painting of Zhengzhou University, the Overseas Chinese Calligraphers Association (Indonesia), and the Ink Trace Calligraphy and Painting Club of Zhengzhou University, the selection of the "Xuanyuan Cup" Global Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Competition was held in early March 2022 at the South Campus of Zhengzhou University in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province.
The contest released a call for papers in November 2021 and was deadline on February 15, 2022, during which although it experienced the epidemic, it still received 1,126 calligraphy and painting manuscripts from all over the world, including 46 works by 43 people from more than 20 countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Italy, Brazil, and Hong Kong, China and other regions.

Hai Menghui, vice president of the China Shaolin Calligraphy and Painting Research Association and dean of the Institute of Calligraphy and Painting of Zhengzhou University, Zhang Kuanwu, visiting scholar of the Central Academy of Fine Arts and director of the Department of Chinese Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts of Zhengzhou University, Li Guochang, vice chairman of the Zhengzhou Municipal Federation of Literature and Literature and vice chairman of the Zhengzhou Calligraphers Association, Xu Guangli, vice chairman of the Zhengzhou Calligraphers Association and director of the Henan Provincial Book Association, and other senior judges of the national exhibition and national calligraphy masters served as the members of the judging committee, and after the evaluation of "fairness, justice, openness, strictness, meticulousness and seriousness", passed the preliminary evaluation, re-evaluation and final evaluation. A total of 126 award-winning works were awarded, including: 2 first prizes, 6 second prizes, 8 third prizes, and 110 excellent awards. 59 invited works.
