Yan Gengping (1918-1982) was a native of Chang'an, Shaanxi. Qin Cavity name Xusheng. He plays a wide road, black and white do not block both culture and martial arts. The singing voice is straight and vigorous, heroic and powerful, the line cavity is suppressed and frustrated, and it runs freely. He also studied "Xu Ce Running City" from the Peking Opera Qipai and Pu Opera. Representative works mainly include "Lintong Mountain", "Sacrifice of Spirits", "Xu Ce Running City", "Zhao Orphan", "Qu Yuan", "Blood and Tears Vengeance" and so on. He once won the second prize of the actor of the first drama observation and performance conference in Shaanxi Province.

In 1958, under the situation of the "Great Leap Forward" at that time, opera also had to put "satellites", and it was a play from writing to performing for a few days.
