The beginning of fantasy, what kind of story did the original Final Fantasy tell?

Aliens from Paradise Final Fantasy Origins will go on sale on March 18. At the beginning of the announcement, this work showed an inextricable relationship with the original Final Fantasy, not only the production team said in the interview that the work was developed based on the worldview of the original generation, but also the name of the protagonist "Jack Garland" was exactly the same as the name of the original villain "Garland".

Although the Final Fantasy series was a big name, the original generation was limited by the age of release, and even though Square Enix has been continuously porting the game for 35 years, its popularity among players is relatively not as large as that of a few "descendants".

This article will tell a comprehensive story of the first generation of Final Fantasy, so that when you play "Strangers in Paradise Final Fantasy Origins", you may have a deeper understanding of the characters in it.

*This article contains the entire plot of the original final fantasy story, if you are a spoiler, you can play the original first.

The whole world is shrouded in darkness

The wind is still, the sea is dry, and the earth is rotting

But people still believe in a prophecy

And has been waiting for it to become a reality

"When the world is infected by darkness

4 Warriors of Light will appear in the world."

An opening poem depicts a miserable picture of the world. In the midst of this lonely depression, four young men came to the city of Cornelia, and after a long adventure, each holding a dimly colored diamond-shaped crystal, were they the prophesied warriors of light?

At this time, Cornelia is experiencing a man-made disaster - the kingdom's Princess Sarah, who has been abducted by the knight Garland. Garland was the best knight in the kingdom in swordsmanship, no one could defeat him, and he threatened to release the princess only by handing over the throne to him.

Four young men came to the city gate and showed the crystal to the guards. The guards were horrified to see Crystal and hurriedly welcomed the young man into the city and asked them to meet the king.

On the way to meet the king, the young people also met Princess Jern and Princess Sarah's sister, who were restless, hiding their faces and crying, begging the young people to come and rescue Princess Sarah.

After being received by the king, the king was also surprised by the appearance of the crystal. Although he and the chancellor did not immediately believe that the young man was the Warrior of Light, after all, there was a prophecy of the sage Rukarn, so he made a request: "Go to the Temple of Chaos in the northwest to save my daughter, and I will believe you and repair the broken bridge in the north."

Because only when the bridge is repaired can we go to another continent. After accepting this condition, the young people made a little resupply in the town of Cornelia and set out for the Temple of Chaos.

Although they encounter goblins, wolves, ogres and other monsters on the way, the adventurer still arrives at the Temple of Chaos without any danger, only to see Garand standing in the center of the hall, wearing a purple gold-rimmed cape, wearing a metal helmet, and facing the gate. The abducted Princess Sarah, with her bright pink hair, fainted on the ground. There are also five bats around.

Four young men immediately stepped forward and drew their swords and staffs at Garland. Garland was also conceited, shouting "I am a knight of knights" and confronting the young man.

After a few rounds, Garand fell. The princess woke up at this point, thanked the adventurers who had saved her, and returned to the city of Cornelia together.

The king was overjoyed to see his daughter return, and took a bite of a "warrior of light" and explained the second half of the prophecy:

The warriors carried the Fragments of Light and made the 4 crystals shrouded in the power of darkness shine again.

The king then said that there was a legend of crystals in the northern continent, and he sent people to repair the bridge according to the promise, so that the light warriors could get on the road smoothly. As a token of gratitude, Princess Sarah entrusted them with the "harp" that had been passed down from generation to generation: "Garand took the harp when I was holding me hostage, and I think it may be of great use in the future." The little princess saw that her sister was rescued and kissed several brothers and sisters.

After receiving the harp, the Warrior of Light found some closed doors while wandering around the palace, and upon inquiry, he learned that he needed a key from the elven prince to open it. After taking this note, they left the palace, crossed the newly repaired bridge, and officially embarked on a journey to find crystals.

After arriving in the Northern Continent, the adventurers discover a mysterious cave where brooms sweep the ground unoccupied. Entering the cave, I also found a large spacious room, and an old woman in a red hat named Matoya paced back and forth.

As they got forward, the adventurers heard the old woman dressed as a wizard muttering that Matoya had lost her "crystal eye." After losing it, Matoya couldn't see anything, and even stumbled when she walked.

Although they wanted to help the old woman, after all, the adventurers did not have "crystal eyes" in their hands, so they had to exit the cave first and head east of the continent. After a long journey, we finally arrived at the port city of Praboca Port Town.

The young people were thinking about finally getting a good rest, when a resident ran up in panic and begged the adventurers to save the town. When I inquired, I learned that Praboca had been occupied by pirates, and they had made this town their home, and the situation was turned upside down.

Then the next thing to do is very simple, the Light Warrior easily defeats the pirate leader Bikai and his brothers, and reaps the windfall - getting a ship.

After being defeated, Bikai expressed the idea of preparing to change his mind, patted his chest and said that he would work hard and become the most industrious person in town. Since this was the case, the Light Warriors spared him.

The townspeople, seeing that the pirates had been defeated, came to express their gratitude, and several of them mentioned some important information that the other side of the sea was where the elves lived, but they heard that the elven prince had been asleep; there was a decaying town in the west called "Melmond Town", where the land was corrupt, perhaps related to the crystal.

Elf Prince? Isn't that the one who heard about the keeping of the mysterious key before? Anyway, I have already got the ship, so I might as well cross the ocean and go to the elven town first.

The journey at sea is still not smooth, and from time to time there will be fish people and sharks, adding a little excitement to the adventure. However, the Light Warrior still made it to the elven town smoothly.

The town's pointy-eared elves all wear green pointed hats and a brown belt that ties the green coat tightly, which looks very similar to the Link of the Nintendo house next door. There is even a tombstone in the town that reads "Link is here to sleep..."

After talking with the elves, they learned that the elven prince who could have become the goblin king had been under the spell of the dark elf king Astos and had been in a coma for 5 years, and the traces of Astos himself were unknown.

If the prince hadn't woken up, the Goblin King wouldn't have been born... The dark power of the dark elves will dominate the elves!

At this time, an elf in the village told the adventurer that he had lost his way in an old city while traveling west, and there was no one in the city, which felt very terrible.

It's a clue. Young people plan to try their luck in the abandoned city to the west.

This time, they really found a person in the West Side. He sat on top of the empty great hall, the only one in the whole city, and the bats that creaked in the corners of the ruins.

The man, who claimed to be the king, told the adventurers that he had been deceived by Astos, causing the city to be abandoned. By taking the crown from the swamp caves of the south, the city-state could be revived.

The Warriors of Light believed this and spent a lot of effort to defeat the Spirit Demon guarding the treasure in the third underground layer of the cave and get the crown.

But when the warriors handed the crown to the king, the "king" changed his previous humble tone and laughed loudly. He was transformed into a new look. It turned out that he was the Dark Elf King Astos, and the person who stole Matoya's "Crystal Eye" before was also him.

The power of the Crystal Eye + Crown is enough to make Astos a true Goblin King.

But the Warrior of Light is, after all, the Chosen One. Astos was also defeated by the young man, and the stolen crystal eye was captured.

Although Astos was dead, the prince's sleep curse was not lifted. The turn of events comes to the witch Matoya – after returning the crystal eye to Mayoya, the witch who sees the light again, in gratitude, gives the adventurers the best medicine to make themselves. And the name of this medicine is the awakening medicine.

The young men who took the medicine hurriedly sent it to the prince, and successfully lifted the prince's curse.

When he woke up, the prince rubbed his eyes and recognized the stranger standing by his bed as the "legendary warrior", so he followed the instructions of the ancient legend and handed the mysterious key to the adventurers.

Remember the closed doors in the original Cornelia Palace? The Light Warrior, who had received the key, returned to Cornelia and found black powder in it. Princess Sarah is also particularly concerned about the adventurers, and although she wants the adventurers to remain in Cornelia, she also knows that they have a greater mission.

The next step is to verify the second piece of information that has been heard in the port town. The adventurers headed west to the town of Melmond, but were blocked by a graben. They looked around for other ways, but found a cave of the dwarves, including a dwarf named Nerik, who had been trying to blow up the graben to open the canal.

This is where black powder comes in handy. Amid the incessant roar and the unstoppable earthquake, the canal was blown up and sent to the wider world.

When the Warriors of Light arrived at "Melmond Town", it was as dilapidated as rumored, and there were graves everywhere. The church was also destroyed because of the vampire attack.

In order to settle the town, the young people plan to eradicate the vampire. After a little inquiry, they headed south to the peninsula known as the Devil's Tail, where there was a cave of the earth, and the surrounding crops were particularly corrupt.

However, after the adventurers defeated the vampires, they found that the situation did not improve, and there were more evil beings deeper in the blocked caves. So they decided to consult the wise man "Sada".

The way to the place where the wise men lived also passed the Cave of the Giants, in which a green-eyed stone giant held the road and was only allowed to pass after paying the toll. The Warriors of Light had just handed over the "Star Ruby" they had obtained from the vampire, and the giant began to feast in front of the people, directly ate the ruby, and then gave way to the road with satisfaction.

After meeting the wise man Sada, the Warriors of Light learn that the vampire is only a small character, and the monster that seals the Earth Crystal lurks deeper underground. Sada gives the adventurers a "stick of earth" and asks them to return to the vampire's room to use the cane so that they can explore the depths of the cave.

At the behest of the wise men, the adventurers succeeded in finding the Lich who sealed the Crystal of the Earth. It was in a deep sleep at this time, sensing the adventurer's coming, it woke up, shouting "I am the devourer of the power of the earth", and immediately attacked.

Moments later, the Lich was rightfully defeated by the Light Warriors.

The previously dim Earth Crystal once again bloomed, and the power of the earth also gushed out from the Altar of Earth.

After restoring the Earth Crystal, the adventurers sailed west again. Unexpectedly, I went around the map, but came to the easternmost part of the map.

On the land to the east sits a town with a good name, Crescent Lake, in which the sage Rukahn, who prophesied the Warrior of Light, is located. He and the other eleven sages stood in a circle, as if it were a clock dial, symbolizing time.

In the conversation with them, the young people gradually came into contact with the core of the event: "There are four chaoses of fire, earth, water, wind, and wind, and they occupy the corresponding four crystals. Every two hundred years there will be a chaos that comes out to cause chaos, four hundred years ago it was the chaos of wind, two hundred years ago it was the chaos of water, and now it is the chaos of earth..."

The Chaos of Fire, which would have awakened two hundred years later, had awakened ahead of time because of the activity of the Warriors of Light. We must hurry to suppress it, otherwise we will usher in a catastrophe that burns everything!

After getting the "canoe" from the sages, the young people were able to sail on the inland rivers, sailing along the meandering and multi-branching rivers, and bypassing the embrace of the mountains, and it was difficult to find the chaotic habitat of fire, a volcano.

The volcanic heat is unbearable (note: stepping on the lava mass will catch blood), the terrain is also intricate, and the chaos of fire is hidden in the depths of the volcano, adding to the hardships of adventure.

But how could the Light Warrior succumb to this setback, when the Fire Chaos "Marilys" was found by them, that is, the time of her demise.

In this way, the Fire Crystal also returned to normal.

The adventurers return to crescent lake town and report to the Sages that they overhear a rumor in the town that the caves in the north seem to have legendary planktonite, which is something that can drive airships.

The four men, who could not sit still, immediately set off and arrived at the northern cave. When they finally approached the plankton, only a step away, the ground beneath their feet collapsed, and everyone fell heavily on the next floor.

Since you will fall down near the plankton, simply jump from directly above the plankton stone and from the upper floor directly to the position of the plankton. In this way, several people got the plankton stone and summoned an airship in the middle of a desert according to the instructions of the sages of the elven town.

Since then, the sea and the sky have been wide and unrestrained.

Of course, there is still a little restriction: airships can only land on green areas, such as deserts, forests, mountains and other plots can not land on it.

The first stop of the airship flight is the Gardia Islands, which face each other across the sea. There are caves in the archipelago, and down into the caves, there are quite a large number of dragons living in them.

Unlike the monsters encountered on their journey, these dragons were very friendly, not only talking to the adventurers, telling many things about the past, such as the fact that people and dragons once lived in harmony, and there were many beautiful temples in the north; they were also introduced to the dragon king "Bahamut".

Seeing that the people were so bold and courageous, Bahamut sent them to the traditional test of the Dragon Clan—to the City of Trials to obtain the proof of courage. One dragon also exhorted the adventurers that "the testimony of courage will change their form and not be deceived by appearances."

After arriving in the City of Trials, an old man stood guard in the middle of the first floor, and when he saw the Warriors of Light holding the "crown" in their hands, he agreed to the trial.

The City of Trials is indeed different from the previous labyrinth, in addition to fighting monsters, it also needs to be teleported between different teleportation points, and only those with real courage can find the right path.

And the testimony of courage in the box at the end of the City of Trials turned out to be a rat's tail.

After returning to the Dragon King Bahamut, Bahamut confirmed that the young people in front of him were truly brave, so he concentrated his strength on the young people and made them stronger (transferred).

The ascended group continued to travel by airship, first arriving in the town of Gaia, where they found that the Goblin of the Lake had been captured by a one-eyed dragon bandit and sold to the merchant's camel merchant. The villagers rush around and entrust the protagonist to help them find the goblin.

Naturally, the position of the camel merchant is not so fixed. The protagonist and his party are not immediately found in the large map, and decide to stop in a small town called Anrak. Coincidentally, the camel merchant's daughter is in this town, and she tells the adventurers that her father went to the great desert on the west side and is now operating in the desert oasis.

Adventurers also heard some historical anecdotes: two hundred years ago there was a glorious temple here, but now it has sunk into the water and become the dwelling place of mermaids.

Two hundred years ago? Isn't that the time when the chaos of water rages! The young people went to the shore to find the old shrine site, and found a blonde with a submarine-like tool, she said that she wanted to rescue the mermaid from the bottom of the sea, but the problem was that she could not breathe when she entered the water, and she was worried about it.

Although the adventurers are light warriors who can defeat monsters, they are not light warriors who can breathe underwater, and they can't help it, and they plan to go to the camel merchant to return to the water goblins first.

Unexpectedly, the camel merchant lion opened his mouth and came up for a price of forty thousand yuan. The young men were also not good at bargaining, looked at their wallets, and finally decided to pull out the money (perhaps thinking of reimbursing gaia town later?). )。

After returning to Gaia Town, before the villagers could explain the cause of the incident, the goblin immediately flew back to the lake where he was, and the protagonists immediately followed. It turned out that the goblin had escaped because she was afraid, but she also knew that these young people were the ones who saved her. In order to express his gratitude and apologies, the goblin gives the protagonists the "water of air" at the bottom of the spring.

With this prop, the adventurers are the light warriors who can breathe underwater!

So they came to the town of Anrak again and decided to use the submarine made by the blonde to go to the sunken temple. When the blonde saw the "water of air", she smiled happily and left her last words:

I've been waiting for you to come, please! Please save the mermaids!

After saying that, the blonde was like a ghost, floating toward the ocean, gradually dimming, and finally disappearing.

How can one fail to live up to one's heart when entrusted with such a commission? The adventurers make a big fuss over the Underwater Temple, defeating the Water Chaos "Kraken", a large octopus monster, and restoring the Water Crystal to its glory.

The villains are always shouting loudly

In addition, they found the legendary Rosetta Stone At the bottom of the sea, which contained the mysterious "Rufiyin language". (Note: If you go to the town of Rufiin after getting the Rosetta Stone, you will not understand what the Rufiyin people say.)

The Warriors of Light found a linguist in "Melmond Town", and it took a few minutes with the "Rosetta Stone" to learn the "Ruffyin language", which is simply the Master of Light.

After arriving in the town of Rufiin, the local people tell the adventurers that the Luffin people used to live in the "floating city" in the sky, the technology is highly developed, and even touched the stars, and the airship used by the protagonists is made by the Luffin people west Germany.

But four hundred years ago, the Wind Chaos Tiamat destroyed the Sky Civilization, and they fell to the ground. The floating city was occupied by Tiamat and could only be reached through the Tower of Illusions on the ground.

Lu Fei, sensing that there was someone else behind the Four Chaos, sent five warriors to investigate, and it turned out that these five people seemed to have finally been cursed and turned into bats.

The arrival of the Warriors of Light gave hope to the People of Luffin, who gave the Warriors of Light a "carillon" that could be used to break illusions. With it, you can enter the Tower of Illusions.

However, it is not enough to have a "carillon", and a special teleportation device is needed to enter the "floating city".

The teleportation device's clues are also in the town of Anrak – a girl named Kepe claims to have seen a shining object fall to a waterfall in the north. The adventurers who received this information rushed to the waterfall and found that there was a cave behind the waterfall, which turned out to be a "water curtain cave".

In the depths of the cave, a dilapidated robot waited there. As soon as it sees the protagonists, it hands over the teleportation cube to the protagonist

always...... Waiting... Take this Rubik's Cube... Tiamat of the floating city... Come on......

On the shoulders of the brave, more expectations are carried.

Using the "carillon" and "Rubik's Cube", the Light Warrior successfully passes through the Illusion Tower, where they encounter several robots that look exactly like the one in the cave and refer to the Light Warrior as the "Master". In fact, the robots in the cave originally lived in the tower, but in order to deliver the Rubik's Cube to the Hands of the Warrior of Light, they ventured out.

Upon arrival at the Floating Castle, the protagonists find the legendary material "Fine Gold" on the second floor (Note: you can find a blacksmith to make the King's Sword later), and find a huge observation window on the third floor, from which you can look down on the earth.

Through this lookout window, the braves were surprised to find that the power of the four crystals of fire, earth, water and wind converged like clouds and mist to a point, which was the starting point of the adventure - the Chaos Temple!

After defeating the Wind Chaos Tiamat, the Braves return to Crescent Lake Town to discuss the next steps with the Sages.

The Sages congratulate the Braves on regaining the crystal's brilliance, which means that the barrier of time has been broken, so now they are going to the Temple of Chaos, traveling through two thousand years of history, going back to the past, and eliminating the culprits of all disasters.

Wind Chaos Tiamat

At the same time, the origins of the protagonists are also revealed a little: the four people lived in the right time flow before coming to this land, but the right time flow was distorted by the sudden anomaly of this era, involving these four people.

The sages said something very profound: the anomaly of two thousand years ago plunged these two thousand years into an endless cycle, and the culprit of the anomaly and disaster was only a few days ago, "someone suddenly went back to two thousand years ago".

Then go to the Temple of Chaos.

The five bats in the Chaos Temple were still flying in the Great Hall, but now they could talk to them, and it turned out that they were the warriors sent by the Rufiyin people four hundred years ago, and they had been cursed by Kaos to become what they are now.

Take a step forward, transcend time and space, and travel back in time to 2,000 years ago.

The temple of two thousand years ago was obviously much more magnificent, but the entrances and exits were blocked, and the light warriors could not go out of the outside world, and decided to explore in the temple.

There is a large stone stele in the central hall on the 3rd floor of the temple, and when the protagonist enters this room, there is a sudden burst of music in his arms, which turns out to be the "harp" given by the princess. This music is the classic crystal overture.

After the music, the stone monument turned into a rope ladder, and the Warrior of Light advanced down the rope ladder.

What I didn't expect was that two thousand years ago there were already four chaoses. But since the chaos of the future has become the defeat of the braves, the past is certainly even less to be afraid of (PS: in fact, it is stronger).

The Lich, Marilys, Kraken, and Tiamat, each layer down, re-defeated a Chaos. Finally, we came to the residence of the black hand behind the scenes.

Standing in front of everyone was Garland, the chief knight of the kingdom of Cornelia, who had been defeated two thousand years later.

It turned out that after Garand was defeated, the power of the four chaos saved him, allowing him to travel through time and space, back to two thousand years ago. Then Garland sent the four chaos of two thousand years ago to the future, so that the future Garand would definitely be saved by 4 forces before dying, and travel through time and space again.

An endless cycle was reached, and Garland survived forever.

After saying all this, Garland transformed into the demon king Kaos, spreading his golden wings and attacking the Warriors of Light.

This battle was extremely difficult, the four elements of fire, earth, water and wind bloomed with each other, and the sound of swords, guns, axes and metal collisions rose and fell.

Eventually, as the prophecy reveals, the lock of time is severed, Kaos and the four chaoses are destroyed, and the whole world is once again illuminated by 4 crystals. Under the struggle of the Warriors of Light, all the forces returned to the right direction.

The four warriors once again traveled through time and returned to their original world. There Princess Sarah and Princess Jenne were waiting for them, and of course, there were four people who were very familiar with Garland in fact.

Slightly sadly, the battle of the four Light Warriors will not remain in anyone else's memory, because the timeline is now normal.

The warriors hid this memory in the depths of their hearts and continued to guard the world quietly.
