On March 12, FAW Hongqi's pure electric medium-sized sedan Faw-Hongqi E-QM5 was launched for private users, with a price range of 122,800-165,800 yuan. Compared with the current travel version, the new car on the market is mainly for the personal car market, so a series of adjustments have been made to many details such as configuration and exterior interior. At the same time as the new car was listed, the official also announced a series of car purchase rights, including 5,000 yuan replacement subsidy for car purchase, lifelong free maintenance, warranty, rescue, pick-up and delivery of cars, etc.
In terms of appearance, the new car still continues the general design of the current model. On the basis of the consistent atmosphere and dignified design language of the Hongqi brand, the designer cleverly integrated many cutting-edge elements of the electric era, such as the split headlight design, the far and near light lights are arranged on both sides of the bumper, and the ring LED light strip is integrated with the net trim panel, which not only pays tribute to the classic historical elements of the Hongqi brand, but also the rounded shape also effectively reduces the crash area of the front of the vehicle.
The side lines of the body are very smooth, and like other models of Hongqi, the E-QM5 also attaches great importance to the riding experience of rear passengers, so the length of the rear door is significantly larger than the front door. Different from the visual perception of the "pull-up car" brought by many long-wheelbase models, the designer adjusted the chrome trim along the window line to make the whole car look dynamic.
The taillights of the L-shaped rear of the car highlight the logo Chinese "Red Flag" very well, which is very recognizable. Combined with the compact upturned luggage compartment, it creates a swooping visual sensation. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 5040*1910*1569mm, and the wheelbase has reached 2990mm.
Entering the car, the symmetrical center console is simple and regular, and the size of the central control touch screen has reached 10.1 inches, so a large number of entertainment and interconnection functions are collected, and remote air conditioning control can also be realized through the Hongqi Zhilian APP, and one-click direct access to the vehicle charging status, mileage, vehicle health detection, road players and illegal inquiry services. Unlike most all-electric models, which strive for a sense of technology, the E-QM5 is still equipped with a more traditional conventional steering wheel and mechanical instruments. In terms of rear comfort configuration, the high-end model can be set through the control panel on the central armrest, and the backrest pitch angle, air conditioning and other functions can be set.
In terms of power and endurance, the new car is equipped with a front-mounted motor with a maximum power of 140kW (188 hp), and with a battery pack with a capacity of 54kWh, its NEDC cruising range can reach 431km, and in fast charging mode, the battery power is replenished from 20% to 80% in only 30 minutes. In addition, the new car also provides two battery solutions at the same time, the ordinary version and the replacement version, which reduces the threshold for car purchase and makes the car ownership mode more abundant.
