Sun Yongxin is a national first-class artist, a professor of the Department of Philosophy of Peking University and a professor of the Advanced Study Class of Calligraphy and Painting, the dean of the Cui Zifan Art Research Institute, the director of the Linglong Art Museum, a famous Chinese contemporary chinese painter, a messenger who loves world peace and conveys cross-strait friendship, and a social activist who devotes himself to international ecological security and charity.
Since the 1990s, Sun Yongxin has won more than 60 awards in various calligraphy and painting competitions, and has held exhibitions in Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Macao, the United States, five Southeast Asian countries and eight eastern European countries in China, and in 1997, he was selected as a "100 Jie Painter" by the Ministry of Culture and the China Federation of Literature and Literature. His works have been collected by many memorials, art galleries and art academies at home and abroad.
Over the years, Sun Yongxin has used his works as a link of culture and friendship, widely participated in social charity, and actively promoted world peace. At the same time, he devotes himself to the international ecological security cause on a global scale. He has participated in more than 500 works in international exchange activities. He was invited by the State Council to paint for General Zhang Xueliang's 100th birthday twice, and became a messenger to convey the friendship between the two sides of the strait. In August 2005, Sun Yongxin was hired by Hong Kong film superstar Jackie Chan as the artistic consultant of the "Dragon Heart Project". In November 2009, he was elected as an academician of the United Nations Academy of Life and Ecological Safety, and was invited to compose the Chinese painting "He Wei Gui" and the calligraphy work "Jingqi Shen" for the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ban Ki. He has been invited to participate in the Sixth General Assembly of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties and the First World Conference on Ecological Security.
In 2017, he was invited by the mayor of Le Mans, France, to hold a painting exhibition and was named an honorary citizen.
In Sun Yongxin's paintings, the traditional painting lines, ink dyeing, and coloring are replaced by a simple freehand technique, that is, a stroke down, it is difficult to say whether it is a line or a surface, both the change of the depth of the ink, the description of the volume structure, and the hint of light and shade. The twist and speed of the pen changes with the state of mind. The light ink of the pen root is slightly infiltrated on the paper due to the force of the paper, making the outer edge of the volume of the depicted object hazy and full of volume. The natural blend of dots, lines and ink colors is a chic and vivid fun.
