author:Four-eyed history

The situation in Russia and Ukraine has changed from a blitzkrieg war at the beginning to a protracted war, the world political stage is full of twists and turns, and the forces of all sides are holding back open and secret struggles with each other.

The general trend of the world will be united for a long time, and it will be divided for a long time. Let's look at the origins of Russia and Ukraine from history.

Russia and Ukraine were historically of the same roots, belonging to the same East Slavic people, with the same language and culture. In the 13th century, during the western expedition of the Mongol army, Russia was ruled by the Mongol Khanate of Chincha for more than two hundred years, forming a unique civilization that was different from the East and the West. Ukraine, on the other hand, has long been colonized by Poland. Later, the Mongol Empire declined, and Grand Duke Ivan IV of Moscow was crowned Tsar, built the Kremlin, established the Russian Empire, and merged the Ukrainian regions. By the 18th century Catherine II had tightened its grip on Ukraine during the reign of Catherine II. It was not until the collapse of the Russian Empire during the February Revolution of 1917 that Ukraine was able to establish its own central power.

After the end of World War I, Ukraine returned to Soviet Russia, but in the ensuing war with Poland, the Soviet Red Army was defeated and forced to cede the western Ukrainian region to Poland, and in 1939, the Soviet Union recaptured the western Ukrainian region. The Soviet Union then invested heavily in Ukraine, making ukraine the most important industrial base of the Soviet Union. However, due to the high-handed policies of the Soviet Union, the Nationalist sentiment in Ukraine grew, and the Russo-Ukrainian rift continued to expand. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Ukraine became an independent state. The post-independence Ukraine economy declined and wobbled in the geopolitical landscape, with the western region leaning toward the West and the eastern region having a large number of pro-Russian powers. With the incorporation of Ukraine's Crimean region into Russia in March 2014, contradictions and conflicts between Russia and Ukraine intensified, and Western forces fanned the flames, and war was about to break out.
