Violations of temple rules are mainly manifested in drinking wine and eating meat. That day, he was not interested, he went down to the pavilion in the middle of the mountain, just happened to have a man selling wine passing by, Lu Zhishen wanted to buy wine to drink, the wine seller knew that the monk could not drink, this wine was only for the fireworks Taoist, if the monk ate the wine, the elder blamed it, and the business could not be done later. Ke Lu Zhi shen wine worm came up and ignored this set, and snatched the barrel from Hanzi, drank a barrel, and let Hanzi go to the temple to ask for money. The man was so frightened that he did not dare to ask for money, so he divided the other barrel of wine into two and a half barrels, and returned with the wine. Lu Zhishen had a drunken attack, and when he returned to the temple, Menzi and other monks saw that he had violated the rules of the temple and prevented him from entering the temple, in this case, Lu Zhishen clashed with them. This Lu Zhishen is really cute, he also calls the monk "bald donkey" as usual, and he didn't expect that he was also a "bald donkey" now.
The second time was a drinking foul. For some time after the last big fuss, Lu Zhishen had been afraid to go out of the temple, for fear of making another mistake, and he also wanted to do it well. However, after a long time, he still couldn't hold back, and on this day he finally went down the mountain. First in the town under the mountain, let the blacksmith shop give him a Zen staff, and then he went to drink, found several hotels, and no one dared to give him wine. Wutai Mountain is a famous temple, the temple in order to correct the rules, and the nearby villages and towns of the hotel have a pact, can not give the monks to drink, these hotels, through the temple service, good money, so, no one dares to sell wine to monks. Lu Zhishen finally found a remote hotel and said that he was a foreign monk, not a Wutai Mountain, and under his repeated requests, people dared to give him wine. While drinking, he asked for dog meat to eat, and he drank too much. When he returned to the Pavilion in the Middle Of the Mountain, he tried his fists and feet in drunkenness, and suddenly collapsed the pavilion, this time, the monks in the temple closed the gate even more, Lu Zhi was deeply eager to enter, and drunkenly pushed down the statue of King Kong outside the door. The monks had great opinions, and Elder Zhizhen had nothing to say, so he had to say hello to Zhao Yuanwai and introduce Lu Zhishen to Elder Zhiqing, his disciple at the Great Xiangguo Temple in Tokyo. The issue of compensation for the destruction of the property in the temple was also the responsibility of Zhao Yuanwai.
There is a school of Zen Buddhism that emphasizes enlightenment, that is, the Buddha-nature of man, does not necessarily have to be practiced for a long time, as long as the inner realization reaches a state, it has Buddha-nature. Although he did not meditate and chant the Buddha all day like other monks, his Buddha-nature was not worse than theirs at all, and it was far higher than theirs, so Elder Zhizhen said that wisdom would achieve positive results. In fact, the monks who read the Buddha in the temple in a disciplined manner did not see much merit in the world. Instead, Lu Zhi broke into Kyushu with deep wind and fire, punished many evils, saved many people, and did so many good things, and finally became the right result.
