The origin of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict

The Russian and US vice ministers held talks in Geneva for up to 7.5 hours.
The NATO-Russia Council meeting was held at NATO headquarters.
The Russian side and the OSCE held talks in Vienna.
The above conversation did not talk about the outcome that Russia wanted, and the Western countries led by the United States rejected Russia's demand - "NATO will never expand eastward." If NATO expands eastward to Ukraine, there is bound to be a possibility of joining NATO, and Russia's western territory cannot be guaranteed.
The United States also threatened Russia that if Russia dared to "invade" Ukraine, the United States would send troops to sanction, and even the US Congress proposed a draft that included Putin.
