Guo Xuan from the Qinzhou District State Investment Corporation is one of the "heroes of the towel".
In April 2018, Guo Xuan was dispatched by Qinzhou District State Investment Corporation to Wenzhuang Village in Huaqi Town as the first secretary, becoming a soldier on the front line of poverty alleviation.
"I remember when I first arrived in the village, the incidence of poverty in Wenzhuang Village was still 15.5%. Poverty is large, the number of migrant workers is large, and the industrial structure is single. When I first started working, the villagers were not optimistic about me, but this did not dampen my enthusiasm, and I still started with the team members and the cadres of the two village committees to change manhole covers, dig water channels, repair gardens, and so on. On the contrary, these small things made the villagers look at them one by one, and they slowly began to accept me, and my follow-up work in the village was also carried out more and more smoothly. Guo Xuan, first secretary and captain of Wenzhuang Village in Huaqi Town, said.
"Three years ago, there was a female secretary, and everyone still thought that they didn't know how she was doing, and the result was still very good. Always took care of us. Every day into the house, how much rain will come, it can be said that it is rain or shine. Wen Ziming, a villager in Wenzhuang Village, Huaqi Town, said.
Wen Liujin is a poor family in the village, there are 6 people in the family, his son and daughter-in-law are all working in Shanghai, leaving a pair of children, to be taken care of by the old couple. When the little girl was examined in the Chinese medicine hospital, she found a cyst in her brain, which caused strabismus in her left eye. To this end, Guo Xuan actively helped the Wen Liujin family in life, and also applied for a public welfare post for him.
"Through these years of rural practice, I have really grown a lot, and I have learned a lot, and I have integrated into the big family of Wenzhuang Village, but it has also alienated my small family." Once I remember when I came home, my daughter went to look at my mobile phone and saw a photo of me and the children in the village, and she asked me: Mom, are you already someone else's mother? In fact, I was really uncomfortable at that time. I always feel guilty about the elderly and children at home. During the epidemic this year, my mother suddenly had high blood pressure, and she knew that I had been stationed in the village and did not tell me, she was afraid that I would be distracted, and she stayed in the hospital for a month. After knowing it, it may have become a lifetime of debt, but I don't regret it at all. Guo Xuan, first secretary and captain of Wenzhuang Village in Huaqi Town, said.
In 2018, when Guo Xuan was preparing to go to the countryside to help the poor, when doing this work, we were also quite embarrassed at that time, because the doll was too small and needed the company of her mother, she just wanted to go to kindergarten, and when she saw the mother of other children picking up, she was very uncomfortable. But we must support her work, do her logistics support work well, let her do her job well, and successfully complete the task. Guo Xuan's mother-in-law said.
"Since the start of the support work, our village has had three first secretaries. The first two terms were all men, the third one came to a woman, and the two committees of our village and the villagers still had some doubts about whether she could do things. However, after several years of joint work, going to the village and entering households, publicizing policies, and dealing with contradictions in the village, changes have taken place in our village, and the two committees of our village and the villagers are more recognized by Secretary Guo, and can be called a female Haojie. Nowadays, the 181 villagers in Wenzhuang Village have not only been lifted out of poverty, but also historically realized the village collective economic accumulation of more than 40,000 yuan, formed 5 breeding professional cooperatives, and initially formed an income-increasing industry based on walnuts, peppercorns and apples. With the help of Qinzhou District State Investment Corporation and other support units, a total of more than 4 million yuan has been invested to achieve full coverage of water, electricity, roads and other infrastructure, and all villagers have felt the benefits brought by the help work. Wenzhuang Village's village-based assistance task force was rated as the excellent assistance task force in Gansu Province in 2018, and was rated as the excellent assistance task force in Qinzhou District for two consecutive years.
"As a party member, I chose to be a soldier!" This is Guo Xuan's mantra. There is a choice called no regrets, and there is an experience called staying in the village. In the face of poverty, she used all her strength; in the face of the villagers, she "walked the heart" with affection.
