"See the world from another perspective", broaden the life experience, and cherish the flow of emotions

People always notice others when they are a little idle and a little lost. Most of the time, the countless faces in the crowd are just backgrounds, surrounding us like ripples from a pebble thrown into the water.

The pain and ecstasy of others, the ambitions and defeats, the chaos of others – who cares? It is nothing more than the ripples stirred up by the youthful self jumping into the river of aging.

—Ben Hockett, "1001 Afternoons in Chicago"

Self-awareness makes us feel strongly that we are an independent individual, like a stone thrown into a lake, and it understands that it is not the same as the water into which we are immersed.

Everyone thinks they are stones, while others are like impersonal droplets that converge into a lake. This situation is somewhat absurd, and the reality is this: either everyone is water and makes up the whole lake, or everyone is stone and makes up a mountain.

The strange thing about it is that, apart from a self-perspective, the world doesn't seem to look quite like we think it is.

"See the world from another perspective", broaden the life experience, and cherish the flow of emotions

If we have the opportunity to enter the vision of others, we will find that the life experienced by each person is always similar, and thus find that there are more commonalities between people and people in addition to the difference in personality.

The experience feels a lot like watching a movie.

When we are immersed in the dark environment of the movie theater, it is easy to forget the emotions of the individual and concentrate on the experience of the film characters, because of the joys and sorrows of their stories, which is a good proof that people's emotions have a common part.

We bought tickets to enter the venue in order to experience a different life. But surprisingly, in real life we refuse to feel the lives of others. It was as if we were a stone, and everyone else was nothing more than droplets of water, large and small, and had nothing to do with us.

From this point of view, the degree to which a person's emotions and life are open may lie in the degree to which he accepts others.

"See the world from another perspective", broaden the life experience, and cherish the flow of emotions

We should sincerely thank our family and close friends for saving us from the "water" world, so that we can understand that there are many people like ourselves in the world.

If we think of ourselves as a small pebble, then our loved ones and friends, through their emotions, make us feel that we are not alone.

I think this sense of engagement in life is very important for a person. Not only because it can dispel the feeling of loneliness, but more importantly, participating in the lives of others allows us to see more scenery that we have not experienced before.

The most vast life experience is to interact with all life, but I think we should not be so greedy, and it may be enough to cherish the people around us.
