Southeast Network March 8 (This network reporter Feng Chuanye) Today is the "March 8" International Women's Day. This morning, the second exhibition of female sculptors' works "Like a Spring Breeze, Meet the Beautiful" was opened at the Lin's Heritage Art Museum in Fujian Arts and Crafts Building. The exhibition once again focuses on the artistic achievements of female sculptors, showing the unique technical personality and cultural charm of women in the field of sculpture.
Fuzhou is the hometown of Shoushan Stone, and there are more than 10,000 artists engaged in carving, ranking the forefront of the country. However, in the Shoushan stone carving circle of Hidden Dragon and Crouching Tiger, due to historical reasons and the nature of the industry, the proportion of men and women has been seriously imbalanced since ancient times, and there are relatively few female carvers, and there are only a few outstanding in the industry. However, compared with male carvers, female carvers are delicate in their minds, have an innate advantage in grasping the beauty of the jade itself, and have enough patience to deal with tedious details, and are more likely to achieve success in the field of design and inlay.
The successful holding of the first exhibition of female sculptors in Fuzhou in 2020 has focused the public's attention on the unique group of female sculptors for the first time. Let the public see the unique technical personality and cultural charm of women in the field of sculpture, from behind the scenes to the public vision, let more people understand their persistence in creation, and do not let the eyebrows be shaved. After more than a year of accumulation, the works of female sculptors have more new creations and new insights.
This exhibition exhibits more than 100 works by nearly 30 female sculptors such as Huang Lijuan, a master of Chinese arts and crafts, Lin Fengmei, Ye Zi and Zhang Huajun of Fujian Province, as well as zhang Wenxia, Lin Yanhua, Hong Juan, the tip of the iceberg (Jiang Qiaoqin), etc., presenting a visual feast for the audience from a unique perspective of women. The exhibition is free until March 14.
