The exhibition features nearly 400 works from the andy Warhol Art Gallery's collection in Pittsburgh, including photographic and documentary objects that were first exhibited outside the Andy Warhol Art Museum, with a special focus on Andy Warhol's artistic practice as a photographer and experimental filmmaker.
Through the concentrated presentation of representative and not widely known works at various stages of Andy Warhol's artistic career, the exhibition fully demonstrates the profound influence of Warhol's diversified cross-border practice and "reproduction" of creation methods on the development of visual arts.
It is reported that during the exhibition, UCCA Edge organized a total of 16 public practice projects, inviting guests from various fields to carry out dialogue and sharing from multiple dimensions such as video art, art criticism, design theory, popular culture, and sexism.
The museum reminds that after the closing of the annual exhibition "Become Andy Warhol", UCCA Edge will temporarily close the museum from March 7 to April 1 to carry out the installation of the spring exhibition. The Spring Show, "Thomas Dimand: The Tongues of History," will officially open to the public on April 2.
During the closure period, the first series of the experimental art project "Tentacle Project", "The Unexpected Journey: The Establishment and Dissolution of Urban Imagery", located in the window corridor on the fourth floor of the exhibition hall, and the outdoor exhibition project "City Theatre: Comedy in Four Acts" on the circular terrace will also be temporarily suspended.
