On March 29, 2020, BYD released the complete test video of the "blade battery" successfully passing the "needle prick test" for the first time. In some ways, this experiment illustrates the safety of BYD's blade battery.

Originally, the purpose of BYD's announcement of the test at the press conference was only to prove the safety of its blade battery, in addition to letting consumers see the strength, and did not attract the attention of the industry. But the old rival Ningde era seems to be always paying attention to BYD's movements.

Two months after BYD announced the test results, the chairman of NINGDE Times said in a performance briefing meeting in response to investors' questions about BYD's blade battery: "Battery safety and battery abuse test are two different things, but some people equate the passability of the abuse test with the safety of the battery."
