On the afternoon of March 5th, the "Flag of the Wind" Art Space, located in Bali Community, Chenghua District, Chengdu, held an opening exhibition: a joint exhibition of double sketching by artist Zhang Jingui and Lao Qian (Li Xiaoqiang).

Born in Tieling, Liaoning, Li Xiaoqiang graduated from Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts and served as a screenwriter and director for a television station. In 2006, he began to paint contemporary ink paintings, and in 2012, he also held a group exhibition with Liu Shuyong, the author of "Old Tree Paintings" who became popular on Weibo.

On the poster of his and Zhang Jingui's joint exhibition, Li Xiaoqiang also appeared under the name of "Old Stubborn". He told reporters that the more than 30 works on display this time are mainly the results of his and Zhang Jingui's sketches in the Zhuo keji area near Malkang last year. "The view from Drokki is beautiful." Li Xiaoqiang said, "I hope the audience can feel it from our paintings." ”

Zhang Jingui graduated from the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts and has been engaged in oil painting creation and art education for more than 30 years. According to him, this newly opened "Flag of the Wind" art space is transformed from his own private property, the area is not large, belongs to a more typical community small gallery, neighbors are ordinary shops, very pyrotechnic, but also very grounded.
"We hope that art can enter the daily life of ordinary people in such a convenient and intimate way." Zhang Jingui said. "After this exhibition, there will be new exhibition arrangements in the future, so that this small pyrotechnic gallery will always have a fresh artistic atmosphere to pass on to everyone."
