A few days ago, when interviewing former national tennis team leader Yang Mingxun, I read a lot of articles on the history of Chinese tennis written by him, from old China to new China, from the war years to today's peaceful and prosperous times, although tennis is not very popular in China, as one of the earliest popular sports in China, it has always continued its bloodline, and witnessed and recorded China's history and culture.
On March 4, the 2022 China Tennis History and Culture Tour Exhibition series of activities was officially launched at the National Tennis Center. Starting in April, this event will be carried out nationwide. The touring exhibition is composed of three parts: exhibition, sharing meeting and exchange activities, with the exhibition as the cultural core, to create a new model of tennis cultural exchange, promotion and dissemination, and to systematically review the development process and historical context of Chinese tennis for more than 100 years.
The Tennis Culture Exhibition covers the development of world tennis, Chinese tennis and local tennis. The tennis sharing meeting will be combined with the achievements of tennis development in the cities where the exhibition has landed, and the local sports culture and urban style will be displayed. At the same time, exchange activities such as tennis competitions will be held during the exhibition to enhance the exchange of tennis sports and promote the spirit of sports.
At the launching ceremony, the 2022 China Tennis History and Culture Tour officially launched the collection of tennis items and tennis stories, including all kinds of historical items related to world tennis and the development of Chinese tennis, including but not limited to tennis, tennis rackets, tennis clothing and equipment, books, old photos, newspapers and magazines, awards and trophy pennants and important tennis historical event information.
The collected items will be displayed, displayed and publicized in the 2022 China Tennis History and Culture TourIng Exhibition series, and will also be displayed in major tennis activities and exclusive exhibition halls across the country in the future.
Liu Wenbin, director of the Tennis Sports Management Center of the State General Administration of Sport, said at the launching ceremony: The 2022 China Tennis History and Culture Tour Exhibition series of activities will promote the spread of tennis culture throughout China, further popularize the development of tennis, enrich the historical and cultural connotation of Chinese tennis, and help the construction of Chinese tennis history and culture.
