StoreDot, a company for extreme charging (XFC) battery technology, has unveiled its strategic technology roadmap, labeled "100inX," which will provide batteries that can travel 100 miles (160 kilometers) on a 2-minute charge and plan to reach mass production within 10 years.

StoreDot is also firmly on track to reach the first milestone for global automakers: mass-producing its silicon-based anode XFC lithium-ion battery by 2024, which will be able to deliver 100 miles of range in a 5-minute charging time.
Meanwhile, StoreDot is already in the advanced stages of developing breakthrough semi-solid-state technology that will boost the battery by a further 40% over 4 years – providing 100 miles of charging capacity in 3 minutes and ready for mass production by 2028.
100in5, 100in3, and 100in2 mph charging is Silicon's three-generation StoreDot technology that dominates XFC, semi-solid, and all-solid state. They will deliver over the next decade, reaching 100in5 by 2024, 100in3 by 2028 (a 40% improvement), and 100in2 (an additional 33% improvement) by 2032.
Dr. Doron Myersdorf, CEO of StoreDot, said: "It is absolutely critical that we provide global automakers with a clear, realistic and hype-free roadmap to introduce our fast-rechargeable battery technology. After vigorously developing silicon-based chemicals, we will be ready for mass production in 2024, offering a transformative product that will overcome the main obstacle to widespread adoption of electric vehicles – charging time and range anxiety.
"However, we are committed to a rapid transition to a cleaner, zero-emission world, and our strategic technology roadmap extends long beyond 2024, with each milestone representing a fundamental performance improvement of 20 percent – which has a significant impact on the driver experience." We are also advancing the development of semi-solid-state batteries, with the goal of achieving large-scale production by 2028, which will provide a better charging experience for EV drivers in terms of miles per minute of charging.
"But our ultimate goal, and the one we now have full control of, is to produce batteries that can revolutionize charging times and achieve a range of 100 miles in 2 minutes." This breakthrough performance, once considered impossible, can be achieved in 10 years with StoreDot's technology. ”
StoreDot's groundbreaking blazing-fast rechargeable battery will be available in both bagged and 4680 series sizes – which are increasingly favored by most automakers around the world. Global experts from Israel, the United Kingdom, the United States and China participated in the pioneering work on these XFC batteries. The "100in5" unit of StoreDot's XFC technology has been tested in the real world by many automotive OEMs.
