Liwan District announced the third batch of registered cultural relics protection units, and 5 old sites were shortlisted

In order to strengthen the protection of historical and cultural heritage, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Cultural Relics, on March 3, Liwan District announced the third batch of registered cultural relics protection units, with a total of 5 old sites shortlisted, namely: the former site of the ACTIVITIES of the Provisional Committee of guangdong Province of the Communist Party of China, the former site of the revolutionary activities of Zhou Wenyong and Chen Tiejun, the former site of the Guangzhou Children's Theater Troupe, the former site of the Chigang Party Branch of the CPC (Guo Clan Ancestral Hall), and the former site of Xie Aiqiong Women's and Children's Hospital.

In addition, Liwan District also announced the protection measures for the third batch of registered cultural relics units, proposing that the users of the registered cultural relics units in the state-owned areas should be responsible for repair and maintenance, and the non-state-owned areas registered and protected cultural relics units should be repaired and maintained by the owner, and the user or owner should perform the main responsibility for the protection of cultural relics in accordance with the law and be responsible for the safety of cultural relics.

The repair of the district-registered protected cultural relics units will follow the principle of not changing the original state of the cultural relics, and comprehensively preserve and continue the true historical information and value of the cultural relics.

First of all, in the site selection of construction projects, the district registration and protection of cultural relics units should be avoided as much as possible, and if they cannot be avoided due to special circumstances, priority should be given to the implementation of the original site protection.

Second, no facilities that pollute cultural relics and their environment shall be built around the units registered and protected in the district, and activities that may affect the safety of cultural relics and their historical features shall not be carried out.

For units registered and protected by the use area, the safety of buildings and their ancillary cultural relics must be protected, and immovable cultural relics shall not be damaged, reconstructed, added or demolished, and the original building facades, structural systems, color tones, basic layout and internal decoration of cultural relics shall not be changed.

The protection of cultural relics is in the contemporary era, and the benefits are in the future, and it requires the joint participation of the whole society. Liwan District calls on the public to take immediate and effective measures to ensure the safety of cultural relics when they discover major safety hazards and illegal acts of cultural relics, and report to the district cultural relics administrative department (reporting telephone: 020-81306288).
