Recently, the cultural relics department of Shizuishan City, Ningxia, discovered a new group of rock paintings with rich content and vivid pictures in the dry ditch of Helan Mountain. Petroglyphs are mainly carved on the gray-brown sandstone surface, a total of 11 paintings, more than 30 identifiable single images, of which 3 are composed of more than 10 individual images, the subject matter shows the riding scene and animal group, including riders, sheep, horses, camels and other patterns, all made by knocking method, well-preserved, concentrated distribution, vivid image. Researchers from the Ningxia Rock Art Research Center said that the discovery of the helan mountain rock art group further supplemented the animal population data of the historical period of the Shizuishan area, and provided strong evidence for the study of the early human social life and economic model in the northern part of helan mountain.
