Studio Beat Games has announced OST 5, the next music package for the VR rhythm game Beat Saber, which is the first OST update added to the game in about a year, in addition to adding more free levels to the base game.

It is understood that "Beat Saber" is a rhythm game developed by Beat Games, which has been widely popular since its release, and once climbed to the seventh place in the Steam high-scoring game list, the first place in the VR game list, or the best-selling VR game in history, and the fastest-selling VR game to date. The game was so popular that Meta acquired Beat Games, the studio behind the game, after 2020.
OST 5 could bring new block mechanics that encourage players to cut along specific paths, as well as a lighting system that the studio has been working on, which promises to give songmakers and modders more control over the visuals of each song. The studio said in mid-February that the system would launch as "part of our next release," but it's not entirely clear whether that would coincide with OST 5.
Normally, OST packages are released for free, but Beat Games has yet to confirm whether this trend will continue with this new version. However, it will most likely support all of the game's existing platforms and support all VR headsets.
