Recently, overseas media exposed a set of spy photos of the Maybach GLS test, and there are slight differences in the appearance of the test car and the current model.
From the photos, the test car, which is still in the early stages of development, is almost the same as the appearance of the current model, except for the front and rear logos blocked by black tape, and the Removal of the Maybach logo of the D-pillar, the rest is almost indistinguishable from the current model. According to foreign media estimates, in the future, mass production models may be adjusted in the appearance details such as grilles and taillights.
In terms of configuration, it is expected that the new car will inherit a series of glasses-free 3D navigation, the latest version of the car and other configurations from the current S-Class sedan to meet the status of the flagship SUV model. As for the power system, there has not been any valuable news exposed so far, and it is expected that the new car will continue the powertrain of the current model. At present, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS sold in overseas markets is all equipped with a 4.0T V8 engine, with a maximum power of 410 kW (550 hp) and a maximum torque of 729 Nm, and it is expected that the domestic market will continue to retain the 6-cylinder model. In addition, the EQ Boost 48V mild hybrid system delivers an additional 15.66 kW (21 hp) of power and 249 Nm of torque when starting up.
