Story & Visual Design
The biggest optimization of this story mode compared to the past is the increase in normal difficulty and legendary difficulty.
Upon completion, Legendary Difficulty rewards a full set of equipment such as 1520 Light, an Exotic Armor, 8 upgrade modules, and a unique business card.
Players can choose the corresponding campaign difficulty according to their current equipment and experience level. Veteran players who have collected a large number of powerful equipment and weapons from past RAIDs and events can choose the legendary difficulty, and after completion, directly start from 1520 lights, etc., to improve, eliminating the need for 20 lights and so on. Defeating bosses during the campaign will also result in additional bonus chests with additional equipment and upgrade modules.
For new players or those with weak weapons and equipment, normal difficulty can be selected to guide the strategy. I give this design a score of 10.
I chose the legendary difficulty to complete the entire story campaign, the difficulty is not particularly high, relative to the Grandmaster Sunset and RAID is much simpler, the most critical is that there is no warrior to make trouble and there is no restriction on the player's weapon attributes, for hunters with stealth skills, the difficulty is acceptable. But my titan friend said the experience wasn't good.
Of course, if you really can't fight, you can also switch to the normal difficulty at any time, and it is also possible to equip it later, or know the routine and then come back to play the legendary difficulty. This time, the main story shows each level as a mission, and you can choose the corresponding mission to replay at any time, which has never been seen in Destiny 2 in the past.
Moreover, in the various story missions, the design of the boss battle is very outstanding. Many boss battles add some time-limited elements, which have the potential to become RAID quest bosses. These designs demonstrate excellent combat design capabilities that are consistently excellent.

I have to say that weapon forging is indeed a good idea.

However, although the weapon forging system is a good idea, there are still many problems in the actual implementation level, and some of the problems can be said to be quite serious.
The first thing to say is that the current difficulty of increasing the weapon level has basically exceeded the "liver" of any update in Destiny 2 in the past. There are two ways to gain weapon experience, one is to kill enemies, and the other is to complete the activity. It takes a lot of time to upgrade a weapon to level 20 to unlock all the skills.
For example, "Mystery" is a new weapon added to this version, and after I used this weapon to kill 2040 enemies, it was only level 17. And what is the concept of 2040 enemies?
Here's an example of the Galar Horn added by Wanji to the 30th Anniversary DLC, which is arguably the answer to the version after that update. It can be used in almost all combat scenarios, as a weapon that uses "heavy ammunition" (i.e. purple ammunition), it can be sprayed wildly with unlimited ammunition in the Eternal Challenge, and its kill count is only 5566. It's hard to imagine how long it will take for a normal player to upgrade a weapon to level 20 to unlock all the skills.
Another problem is that some weapon blueprints (called "modes" in the game) are more difficult to obtain than normal people think.
The difficulty referred to here is not the difficulty of the mission, but the chance of the weapon being dropped.
As part of the weapon forging system, the blueprint for the creation of the weapon requires the acquisition of the homology body of the weapon, that is, the weapon with a red frame.

The homologous source of some weapons is the source attack, such as the "realization" assault rifle in the figure, the "curse" grenade launcher, and so on. These weapons themselves do not have a high drop rate in the Source Attack, and the player also has to obtain those unique red box homogens.

The new weapons are added to the gun factory exclusive PERK or the original feature PERK, so that the weapon has an additional skill bonus in addition to the regular PERK.
Some gun factories are extremely well-suited for PERK and type weapons, giving some players who already have the powerful weapons in the old version the incentive to replace them with the new version of the weapon.
