Bibliography

postscript

This book was revised on the basis of my PhD dissertation. In 2007, when I was studying for a doctoral program in the Department of Chinese, university of Chinese, Hong Kong, Professor Wong Yiu Kun proposed to start writing a doctoral dissertation on the topic of "Chu Ci Zhang Sentence". After three years, the first draft was finally completed in 2010. After the thesis passed the defense, the second chapter was added, "Zhengde Ben 'Chu Ci Zhang Sentence' Publication and Edition Examination Strategy", as well as two articles included in the appendix, "Fang Ji 'Qu Zi Zhengyin' and Its Rhyme Study" and "'Tianwen' 'Later Emperor' and the Interpretation of the Sacrifice of the Earth God".

Chu Cixue has always been the "xianxue" in ancient Chinese literature, and there are countless research treatises on past dynasties. Since Liu Xiang of the Western Han Dynasty compiled the Chu Ci into a book, the scholars and rulers have been numerous, and among them, the "Chu Ci Chapters and Sentences" preserved by Wang Yi of the Eastern Han Dynasty have been the most highly valued by scholars. However, compared with the fruitful research results of the book "Chu Ci", there are few research monographs dedicated to the "Chu Ci Chapters and Sentences", which is extremely disproportionate to the status and value it has achieved in Chu Ci. The chu ci zhang sentences have not been paid much attention to by previous generations, or are related to the more "peculiar" annotations of this book, especially the annotations in the book are mixed with rhymes and prose annotations, which are extremely rare in the annotations of the two Han Classics, and their arrangement is not in chronological order and is often difficult to understand. However, in my opinion, the main reason is probably that in the past, the "Chu Ci Zhang sentence" has always been regarded as a "note" subordinate to the "Chu Ci", so the focus of the discussion is mostly on the "Chu Ci", thus covering up the original value of the "Chu Ci Zhang Sentence". The purpose of writing this book is precisely to solve the various problems in the formation process of the Chu Ci Zhang sentences, so as to spy on the various changes in the formation of ancient books, so the direction of exposition selected in the book does not take the form of general theory, but is based on the research results of the predecessors, in order to supplement the missed links, and at the same time try to put forward a corner of the view. The author hopes that through the discussion of this book, I can have a deeper understanding of the complex process of the formation of early ancient books, and further promote the study of the Chu Ci Zhang sentences.

This book can be successfully completed and paid for, thanks to the guidance and encouragement of teacher Huang Yaokun. Master Huang is knowledgeable and has a unique point of view, from undergraduate to master's and doctoral, all the way to give the method of teaching and governance, inspiring a lot, and benefiting me for life. This book is written in Zi, and the huangshi title is given a preface, and the impression is particularly deep. From undergraduate to now, Teacher Zhang Guangyu has often heard face-to-face training, earnestly taught, and given great care and support in both academics and work. Professor Lu Guoyao worked tirelessly, traveled in many directions, and was introduced in the middle, which was touching. Professor Huang Linggeng, Professor Zhang Jian and Professor Pan Mingji served as members of the doctoral dissertation review committee of this book, and put forward many specific amendments to the first draft during the defense, so that this article avoided making some unnecessary mistakes. Professor Ling Geng has donated masterpieces many times, and Yin Yin is encouraged and inspired. Professor Chen Weishun, Professor Xiao Zhenhao, Dr. Xu Mingde and other teachers and friends have paid attention to and assisted from the first draft of this book to its publication. Ms. Chen Lijuan of Shanghai Ancient Books Publishing House co-ordinated this book, carefully proofread it, and made the manuscript available in a short period of time, with great hard work and great achievements, and hereby express my heartfelt thanks. At the time of publication, some of the chapters of this book were supported by the Faculty Development Scheme of the Research Grants Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (UGC/FDS14/H05/17). The author has not studied deeply, and the discussion in the book is inevitably rough and insufficient, and it is expected that the Fang family will not hesitate to correct it.
