Autonomous Driving: NIO was one of the first companies in China to offer Advanced Automated Driving Assistance System (ADAS) capabilities. NIO Pilot, the advanced ADAS system developed by WEI, is now equipped with Pilot Assist (NOP). According to the Frost & Sullivan Report, the NOP's ability to guide vehicles in and out of ramps, overtake, lane changes and cruising on highways and urban highways based on pre-planned routes is one of the most advanced ADAS features of all production vehicles.
In January 2021, NIO released a new generation of self-developed full-range autonomous driving technology NIO Autonomous Driving (NAD). Our NAD is built on top of our in-house developed perception algorithms, positioning, control strategies, and platform software.
