Update: The German government has changed its mind and will supply Ukraine with offensive weapons
The German government has long refused to provide Ukraine with any offensive weapons for the sake of peace, and so far has only promised five thousand helmets and a field hospital. With Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the German government's conservative stance has been increasingly questioned by all sides. First of all, the Dutch government decided to provide Ukraine with four hundred sets of shoulder-mounted anti-tank equipment, but because it was made in Germany, it also required the consent of the German government. Lithuania then supplied Ukraine with cannons made during the East German period, with the consent of the German government. In this way, the German government is in a very embarrassing situation.
Finally, today, the German government and the Ministry of Defense not only agreed to the demands of the Netherlands and Lithuania, but also decided to change their attitude towards the supply of weapons to Ukraine. The first is a thousand sets of ukraine's much-needed anti-tank weapons and five hundred sets of man-fired anti-aircraft missiles, which will be shipped to Ukraine in the shortest possible time.
As the Ukrainian Wehrmacht withstood the fierce attacks of the Russian army in the first few days, coupled with the arrival of weapons supported by European countries into the hands of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, the Ukrainian-Russian War gradually entered a new stage.
History seems to have made a joke that, more than eighty years later, when German-made weapons reappeared in tank battles on the land of Ukraine, German weapons took on the important task of defending Ukraine.
