A few days ago, we got a set of official pictures of the 2022 Nissan LEAF (hereinafter referred to as the Leaf) from overseas relevant media, and compared with the current model, the appearance of the new car has become more dynamic, and it has been equipped with a new LOGO that can be lit up. It is reported that the new Leaf will begin to accept bookings in overseas markets in April this year.
Judging from the new Leaf official picture obtained, the front face of the new car continues to adopt the family V-Motion design language, and the chrome trim under the Nissan LOGO has been replaced by black, making the visual effect look more holistic. The diamond-type LED headlights on both sides were retained, and the "L" shaped daytime running lights with polylines were added, with the new Nissan LOGO that could be lit, thus ensuring that this exquisite car had a good recognition in terms of lighting.
The new Leaf is a hatchback with a black roof, blackened window frames and exterior mirrors to create a sense of layering, while the forward-leaning D-pillar outlines a sporty body posture. In addition, the bottom is also equipped with a unique 17-inch low wind resistance wheel hub, which enhances the fashion atmosphere and will also help to reduce the wind resistance of the whole vehicle.
The design of the new rear part looks very three-dimensional, and the "sickle" style taillights on both sides are added with transparent color lampshades, which is very sharp, and the Nissan LOGO at the tail can also be lit. To further enhance the sense of sport, the bottom is also equipped with a black diffuser, and a pilot light is added in the middle position, highlighting a "small steel cannon" style.
The design layout of the new Leaf interior continues to be mainly practical and relatively simple. Equipped with a mechanical + LCD combination of instrument panels, the central control screen adopts an embedded design with a built-in Nissan Connect infotainment system. Under the central control screen are regularly arranged physical buttons, plus a three-spoke flat-bottom multi-function steering wheel and a knob-type gear shift mechanism, so as to ensure the convenience of operation. Although there is still a lack of technology atmosphere, it can already meet the needs of daily use for such a hatchback.
In terms of intelligent driving assistance, the new car has upgraded the adaptive cruise function of the ProPILOT system, which can realize automatic car following, active braking, etc., and also supports e-Pedal single-pedal mode.
In terms of endurance, the new Leaf continues to provide battery packs with a capacity of 40 kWh and 62 kWh, and the combined cruising range under WLTP conditions can reach 270 km and 385 km respectively.
