At 0-24:00 on February 24, there were 12 new confirmed cases of novel coronavirus pneumonia in Sichuan:

Among them, there are 5 local cases (in Chengdu):

Two cases were confirmed by an asymptomatic infected person on 23 February.

Three cases are close contacts of the confirmed cases in Chengdu and were confirmed on 24 February.

7 cases imported from abroad (6 cases in Chengdu, 1 case in Liangshan):

Six cases in Chengdu, all of whom were confirmed by asymptomatic infected people on 23 February.

One case was in Liangshan, who entered Yunnan from Laos on 6 December 2021, arrived in Liangshan on 26 January after lifting the quarantine, and was confirmed on 24 February.

There were 2 new cured and discharged cases, no new suspected cases, and no new deaths.

As of 24:00 on February 24, the province has reported a total of 1,445 confirmed cases of novel coronavirus pneumonia (including 828 cases imported from abroad), a total of 1,374 cases have been cured and discharged from hospital, 3 cases have died, 68 cases are currently isolated and treated in hospitals, and 3,502 people are still under medical observation.

At 0-24:00 on February 24, there were 6 new cases of asymptomatic infection in the province:

Among them, there are 4 local cases (2 cases in Deyang and 2 cases in Mianyang):

2 cases in Deyang, 1 case is a close contact of a locally confirmed case, and 1 case is a close contact of a local asymptomatic infected person.

All were diagnosed with asymptomatic infection on 24 February.

2 cases imported from abroad (in Chengdu):

One case arrived in Rong from Egypt on 19 February for quarantine.

One case arrived in Rongrong from Cambodia on 23 February for quarantine.

On the same day, 8 cases were confirmed cases, 0 cases were lifted from centralized isolation medical observation on the same day, and 48 cases were still under centralized isolation medical observation, a decrease of 2 cases from the previous day.

As of 24:00 on February 24, there were 14 medium-risk areas in the province (as shown below), and the rest of the province were low-risk areas.

Case 22: Residing in Rosenborg Butterfly County, Tianfu New District, Chengdu, he is a close contact of case 20. On 23 February, he tested positive for nucleic acid and was diagnosed as an asymptomatic infected person. Revised to confirmed on 24 February.

Case 24: Residing in Huimin Dongyuan, Wenjiang District, Chengdu, there was a trajectory that coincided with cases 4 and 5, and was detected in the controlled area. On 23 February, he tested positive for nucleic acid and was diagnosed as an asymptomatic infected person. Revised to confirmed on 24 February.

Case 27: Residing in Zhongde Shibangheting (formerly Zhongde K District) in Chengdu High-tech Zone, he is a close contact of case 19. On 24 February, he tested positive for nucleic acid and was diagnosed as a confirmed case.

Case 28: Residing in Lohas Commune, Chengdu High-tech Zone, he is a close contact of case 19. On 24 February, he tested positive for nucleic acid and was diagnosed as a confirmed case.

Case 29: Residing in Ying County, High-tech Zone, Chengdu (Phase III), is a close contact of case 1. On 24 February, he tested positive for nucleic acid and was diagnosed as a confirmed case.

On February 24, There were 5 new locally confirmed cases in Chengdu (2 of which were revised by asymptomatic infected people reported yesterday), 6 new confirmed cases imported from abroad (all of which were revised by asymptomatic infected people reported yesterday), and 2 new cases were discharged from hospital. There were no new indigenous asymptomatic infected persons, and 2 new cases of asymptomatic infection imported from abroad were added.

As of 24:00 on February 24, Chengdu has reported a cumulative total of 1,037 confirmed cases (including 820 imported from abroad), with a cumulative discharge of 967 cases and 3 deaths, and the remaining 67 confirmed cases are being isolated and treated in designated hospitals. There are currently 40 asymptomatic infected people in the city (including 36 imported from abroad) are under centralized isolation medical observation.
