Sit on the scoring referee's seat The winter Olympic wish of a Chinese technical official

Chongli, Hebei, February 23 (Xinhua) -- At the end of the Beijing Winter Olympics, the Chinese team achieved full participation in the event, but there was no Chinese referee in the list of snowboard scoring referees.

Why is it difficult for Chinese referees to find the scoring seat on the snowboarding field?

The reason is in the cultivation of talents. China's skiing project started late, and when it came time to select referees, although there were many experienced referees in China, they had not yet reached the level recognized by the International Snow Federation, so they did not have the opportunity to sit in the referee's seat.

It is reported that referees are divided into several levels, and international A-level referees can rule the Winter Olympics as scoring referees. "There are currently no A-level snowboard referees in China, there are five or six people in the B-class, and there are only a few dozen in the C-level." Beijing Winter Olympics NTO (domestic technical officer) Li Xu said.

According to Li Xu, there are two kinds of referees for the Winter Olympics, one is a scoring referee, and the other is a tournament organization referee. Li Xu is the referee of the event organization and is responsible for the starting point of the slope obstacle course competition.

Will China be able to train A-level referees in the future? Then you must first understand how to become a Winter Olympic referee.

First of all, it is necessary to have the qualification of provincial referees, from the third level, the second level, the first level to the national level. The third-level referee training is to first understand the project, and then pass the examination to obtain the referee qualification and begin to referee some small competitions in China.

After the referee has a certain amount of refereeing experience, he will obtain the qualification of the international referee, and the international referee is arranged according to the promotion method of C, B and A. Li Xu is currently a C-class referee recognized by the International Snow Federation for snowboarding, and he can referee national competitions. Level B can be advanced through examinations, and Level A needs to referee multiple major events such as the World Cup and obtain corresponding points to complete the promotion.

Li Xu said that the domestic ski referee talent reserve is still increasing, and there is currently a big gap. Driven by the Beijing Winter Olympics, there will be more and more small ski events in China.

Li Xu has also done referee training in China in recent years. He said that because there are more competitions at present, more referees are needed, and ski enthusiasts who want to sign up for referees can pay attention to the dynamics of the local ski association, which regularly holds training courses.

"The first referee training, the main content is to identify the action." Li Xu said that if you want to be a referee, the most difficult gap to get started is to identify the action, and for people who do not play the sport, the threshold is relatively very high. Because there are many action groups in the veneer project, there are prop actions, jumping action, and U pool action, which are easy to be dazzling and difficult to distinguish.

Li Xu believes that the training of referees is very meaningful. He said that through the fresh information and advanced concepts learned from abroad, it can be shared with some referees in China, and the competition can be promoted through the cultivation of referees, and then the sport can be promoted.

"For many of our domestic referees, this time participating in the Winter Olympics has also accumulated a lot of experience. I silently agreed to the next goal with Mr. Guan Rongxin, and the next step we hope to sit on the scoring referee's seat. Li Xu said.
