And the 3.0T twin-turbo V6 gasoline engine currently has two different tuning methods: the European version can have a maximum horsepower of 288 horses and a maximum torque of 491 Nm, while the Australian version has a maximum horsepower of 392 hp and a maximum torque of 583 Nm. And the engine also uses a ductile iron cylinder block, which is 75% stronger and harder than the iron used in traditional castings.
At the same time, it should be noted that this engine was developed specifically for the Ford Ranger Raptor and is equipped with a "deflection ignition system" similar to the Mitsubishi EVO to reduce turbo lag, and it is reported that after the throttle is raised, the blades of the turbocharger continue to rotate for up to three seconds, achieving instant response in performance mode. Of course, to make the V6's powered sound even more pleasant, the new car is equipped with four active exhaust modes, namely Quiet, Normal, Sport and Baja, plus seven optional driving modes, which greatly increase the playability of the new Ranger Raptor.
Suspension frames have evolved completely!
Not only that, in order to adapt to the adaptability of multiple road conditions, the suspension and frame of the Ford Ranger Raptor have also been upgraded, and the frame has been strengthened in several parts, and the reinforcement parts can be clearly seen in the picture, including the frame longitudinal beam, the shock tower top and the rear spare tire suspension.
