Memories of the Green Car

Look at the old green car in front of you and recall the memories of the past. From childhood to old age, railway travel basically takes green cars. For decades, green cars have been the main train for passenger rail transport. At that time, the traffic was not developed, and it was absolutely satisfactory to go out and buy a train ticket with a seat. More times are tickets, even no matter how far or near, one stop to the end. Two of the green car experiences are even more difficult to change for life.
One was the November 1966 Cultural Revolution. That year, from Liuyuan in Gansu province to Beijing, he stood on the train for three days and three nights. From Liuyuan to Lanzhou, take the green car from Urumqi to Beijing, and get on the bus all the way to Lanzhou. After arriving in Lanzhou, the school teachers and students who changed to Beijing connected to the special train, who knew that there were more people on the car, sitting on chairs, under chairs, chair backs and luggage racks were all students. Even the toilet was crowded into several people, not to mention the convenience of entering the toilet. I stood for two days and two nights, and the taste was imaginable.
The other time was in January 1970, from Liuyuan in Gansu Province to Wuhan in Hubei Province. In that year, the state organized the Battle of Hubei Wuqi Oilfield (now Jianghan Oilfield), the Ministry of Petroleum sent tens of thousands of oil people from all over the country to participate in the battle, and my unit was also relocated from Dunhuang, Gansu to Jingzhou, Hubei. At that time, although there were special trains, there were many people and few cars, and young people had to take the railway bus by themselves. From Liuyuan to the train or stand to Lanzhou, really can't stand it, Lanzhou got off the car to take Xining to Qingniao, who knows that this trip has more people, even can't get on the car, it's hard to squeeze on the car, but can't get into the car, a car door is actually crowded with nearly 20 people, even the waist can't bend. After arriving in Zhengzhou, my calves were swollen. After zhengzhou transferred, although it was still standing, it was finally able to sit on the floor.
Later, people who went out to take care of them could buy a ticket, and going out to take the bus was not as tiring as it used to be.
Later, there are more railway ticket sales points, you can also buy tickets online, and you don't need to entrust people to buy train tickets, every trip is sleeping in a sleeper, not only feel relaxed and happy, but even feel that sitting on a green car is a kind of belated life enjoyment.
Nowadays, transportation is more developed, and there are many ways to travel freely. But I still like to take the train the most, for two reasons: one is safety, and the other is comfort. If you travel far, you still like green cars, because you can't stand sitting for a long time because you are old, and you have to lie down and rest. Although the green car is slower, the fare is low, you can sit or lie down, you can walk freely, and you can even smoke a cigarette in front of the car, which is also not enjoyed by other means of transport.
Now that there are more and more high-speed rail trains, the speed is getting faster and faster, and the green cars are becoming less and less, and I hope to retain more green cars to meet the travel needs of different people.
