Jing Shengyan (1913-1960), Qin musician, Banhu player. Formerly known as Sheng Yan, the character Xiangting, a native of Xi'an, Shaanxi. His father, Jing Guiquan, was an early violinist of the Yi Folk Society, and he and his elder brother Jing Yongfu were infected by the environment from an early age, and they learned many sets of music cards when they were young in private schools. In the early 1930s, he joined the Xi'an Zhengguo Society, that is, cooperated with Li Zhengmin, and complemented each other perfectly, and in 1935, the EMI Company recorded a record for Li Zhengmin, that is, he played the piano for him. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he joined the Northwest Field Literary and Labor Corps and was transferred to the Northwest Opera Research Institute in 1952. In his long-term artistic practice, he constantly reformed and developed the Banhu, making it the main instrument of Qin Cavity accompaniment. On the basis of the experience of his predecessors, after repeated research and practice, he made great progress in the reform of the bow, fingering and musical instrument of the Banhu.

Jing Shengyan used to play the piano for Li Zhengmin, the "Authentic Qin Dynasty", and his eldest brother Jing Yongfu was also the same drum master, according to the practice of the drama class, the drum master earned the first share of the money, that is, the first class salary, and the violinist was the second class, which he did not think. This is in some people or "going with the customs" to get by, or hindered by the emotional face in the heart, or even make a little mood so that passive slacking off. Jing Shengyan did not do this, but asked Li Zhengmin bluntly: "Why do I earn two parts for the eldest brother to earn the first share?" Li Zhengmin thought to himself, "The eldest brother is a drummer!" Li you came and said, Jing you said, "Well, after that, I will play the drum and call the eldest brother Lahuhu." Li Zhengmin didn't know how to answer because of the accident, but he knew in his heart that although Shengyan's drumming was not worse than his brother's, he couldn't pull the heat and taste of Shengyan no matter what, so he had to play a sloppy eye: "Let's not talk about it today." ”
In fact, Li Zhengmin did not say anything more after that, just Shengyan's personal money, silently became the first share, this is an unprecedented breakthrough in the salary of the Banhu qinshi, and now the appraisal title, the drum master and the organist can undoubtedly be "first-class" or "zhenggao", such "sitting on an equal footing", in fact, it is still the precedent of Jing's publicity in that year, it can be seen that his blunt Gengjie, "goods are not cheap to sell", and it can also be seen that Mr. Li Zhengmin as the head of a company is kind to the wise and open-minded.
