Pu Derong is a zhuozhou egg carving master, engaged in egg carving art inheritance and development for more than 20 years, the creation of egg carving works, well-known at home and abroad, many times on behalf of Hebei Province to the whole country and around the world exhibition. This work was created by Pu Derong over a period of more than ten days, incorporating a variety of carving techniques, with exquisite and chic shapes.
Using eggshells as a carrier, this work uses the techniques of yin and yang carvings to show a different world of ice and snow on small eggshells. The whole work is exquisitely shaped and chic, divided into two parts, the main body and the bottom support, which are carved with the ice pier of the mascot of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games, the snow melting of the mascot of the Winter Paralympic Games, and the rest of the part is carved with snowflakes of different sizes and shapes. The whole work is against the background of light and shadow, which better shows the passion, youth and vitality of sports. The bottom part adopts the technique of incandescence, carving snowflakes flying in the sky, which echo the main part.
Pu Derong, the inheritor of Pu's egg carving, said: "I saw the spirit of the athletes working tenaciously on the sports field, which infected me. As a non-genetic heir, I cheer for athletes in a personal way of thinking and in one form! The front and back sides of the main body are engraved with ice piers and snow rongrong, surrounded by carved snowflakes, to the ice and snow world to reflect this scene artistic conception, in order to make this work as a whole have a perfection and integrity, to make such a bottom bracket with eggshells, this bottom bracket is also a side body, with two layers of eggshells to spell together, this surrounding is also with ice and snow as the theme, the secondary body and the main body echo each other, so that the artistic conception of the entire work to achieve perfection, with this form for the athletes to help cheer up."
Small eggshells carved the ice and snow world. The solid, cute ice piers, festive and warm snow melting, symbolize the tenacious will and inspiring Olympic spirit of the Winter Olympic athletes, as well as the fighting spirit of the winter Paralympic athletes and the concept of the Winter Paralympic Games that inspire the world.
