How to carry the river is a problem that cities in the Yellow River Basin, including Jinan, have been thinking about. On September 29 this year, the Jinan Yellow River Jiluo Road Tunnel was officially completed and opened to traffic, expanding the urban development space, helping the construction of Jinan's new and old kinetic energy conversion starting area, and accelerating Jinan's transition from the "Daming Lake Era" to the "Yellow River Era".

5 minutes across the Yellow River
Urban development, transportation first. Jinan is bordered by the Yellow River in the north, Taishan Mountain in the south, and is a strip city with a narrow east and west. At present, the development of east and west is basically saturated, which also brings many problems, such as smog, traffic congestion, etc., and if you go north, you have to cross the Yellow River. On September 29 this year, the Jinan Yellow River Jiluo Road Tunnel was officially completed and opened to traffic, which connects the main urban area and the sub-center of Jibei, and cars and subways can pass through the yellow at the same time, thus creating an era when the Yellow River graben crosses from water to underwater.
Jinan Yellow River Jiluo Road Tunnel has a total length of 4760 meters, the main line section adopts a double-pipe double-layer tunnel, the upper layer is a two-way six-lane municipal road, the design speed is 60 km / h, and the lower layer is rail transit and smoke exhaust channels, pipe corridors and escape channels. Driving through this tunnel can cross the Yellow River in about 5 minutes, saving nearly an hour compared to the previous detour to the Jinan Yellow River Bridge. Moreover, compared with the existing pontoon bridges and Yellow River bridges in Jinan, the tunnels are less affected by weather and seasons, which also opens a new page for the development of Jinan's river.
In the exhibition hall of Jinan's "Four Bridges and Four Tunnels" cross-yellow channel project, a reporter from China Economic Network saw that including the Jinan Yellow River Jiluo Road Tunnel, Jinan has started construction of the Jinan Yellow River Huanggang Road Tunnel, The Jile Expressway South Extension Project and other "Four Bridges and Four Sui". After the completion of the "Four Bridges and Four Sui" project, a new cross-Yellow Transportation Network will be built.

Building the "City of the Future"
The main urban area of Jinan is located on the south bank of the Yellow River, and daming lake in the city is a well-known attraction, so the previous development is called "Daming Lake Era". "Carrying Hebei across" makes the main urban area of Jinan City cross the Yellow River, turning the Yellow River into a river in the city, thus opening the "Yellow River Era". In Jinan's new urban development pattern, "starting from the north" has become an important strategy.
Why build a "City of the Future" in the north of Jinan? Wang Shanlong, deputy director of the Propaganda and Network Information Department of the Party and Mass Work Department of the New and Old Kinetic Energy Conversion Start-up Area of Jinan City, explained that first, the ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin have risen to a national strategy, which is both a glorious mission and a major responsibility for the cities along the Yellow River, and Jinan, as one of the central cities in the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River, should actively act; second, Shandong has vigorously implemented the "strong provincial capital" strategy, and supported Jinan's accelerated development with the strength of the whole province, jinan has ushered in a golden period, window period, and opportunity period for development, and it is necessary to further give play to the radiation and driving role of the provincial capital The third is that the current reserved space in the main urban area of Jinan is limited, and it is necessary to cross the Yellow River to develop; the fourth is the Yellow River Anlan, Jinan has the conditions for development to the north, after the completion of the Yellow River Xiaolangdi Reservoir in 2009, the flood control capacity has been improved, and the north of Jinan is no longer a flood storage area.
In April this year, the State Council approved the implementation plan for the construction of Jinan's new and old kinetic energy conversion starting area, officially opening a new chapter in Jinan's construction of new and old kinetic energy conversion starting area and promoting high-quality development.
