On February 17, Baidu Apollo's self-driving travel service platform "Radish Run" officially landed in Nanshan District, Shenzhen, providing self-driving taxi services to citizens. Nearly 50 stations will be opened initially, covering core areas such as Shenzhen Bay MixC, Poly Cultural Plaza, and Talent Park, and is expected to expand to 300 stations within the year.

According to the plan, after the "Radish Run" opens the normalized demonstration application in Shenzhen, users can experience the autonomous driving travel service through the "Radish Run" App, and nearly 50 stations will be opened initially, and the running time will last from 9:00 to 17:00. The demonstration application route covers core areas such as Shenzhen Bay MixC, Poly Cultural Plaza, and Talent Park, and can provide artificial intelligence travel services for surrounding living areas, commercial areas, leisure and cultural areas, etc. In the future, the "Radish Run" operating route will continue to expand, and it is expected that by the end of 2022, the scale of stations in the travel service area will reach more than 300, which can better meet the daily travel needs of local residents such as public transportation connection and holiday business circle pick-up.

Previously, on February 14, Radish Transport (Shenzhen) Technology Co., Ltd. was approved as a demonstration application of intelligent and connected vehicles in Shenzhen. This marks that Baidu, as the earliest enterprise in China to enter the field of automatic driving, has achieved full coverage of services in the first-tier cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Shenzhen.

In recent years, Nanshan District has actively promoted the global opening of unmanned road testing, and accelerated the orderly inclusion of urban trunk roads, highways, low-altitude areas, port terminals, regional distribution, and railway logistics bases into the test open catalog.

Baidu Apollo's autonomous driving solution has tested a total mileage of more than 21 million kilometers so far, and its self-driving travel service platform "Radish Run" has opened manned test operation services in seven cities: Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chongqing, Changsha and Cangzhou. In addition, the Apollo Moon, a new generation of mass-produced unmanned vehicles, has also joined the "Radish Run" operation map to provide the public with richer travel options. Baidu Apollo said that in the future, it will continue to strengthen innovation and collaboration in the fields of automatic driving and intelligent networking, comprehensively promote the transformation and upgrading of regional digitalization, intelligence, networking and service, and bring safer and more convenient autonomous driving travel services to the public.
