Zhao Fang said that the project was officially implemented in August 2021, and the implementation team took Yuxi painters as the main body, and invited some influential artists from Yunnan Province to participate. In the specific implementation process of the project, influential and representative artists from the art circles in Yunnan Province were entrusted to guide the creators in the selection of topics. In addition, we also fully listened to the opinions and suggestions of experts in the literary circles, music circles, and party history on the selection and conception of works.

At the same time, the Municipal Artists Association organized creative experts to participate in the project reading and exchange activities, listened to the theme lecture of "Integrating Nie Er and the Story of the National Anthem into the Study and Education of Party History" by Shi Suiying, an expert in the study of the national anthem and the dean of the School of Literature of Yuxi Normal University, and watched the movie "Song for the Country"... Promote creators to deeply understand history, feel history, and experience Nie Er's warm blood feelings, so as to stimulate creative enthusiasm.
After that, the creators of the Municipal Artists Association took Nie Er culture as the theme and carried out a variety of routes and various forms of style sketching activities, and deeply explored Nie Er's growth process and the Yunnan ethnic and folk elements contained in the "March of the Volunteer Army".
"We went to Nie Er's former residence and Nie Er Memorial Hall, and through understanding the trajectory of Nie Er's learning and life from childhood, reliving Nie Er's extraordinary journey from a revolutionary enthusiastic youth to a mature revolutionary musician, we felt a strong sense of red; we went to Nanxue Village, Da bathing Village and Nanjian Village in Xinping County, and felt the greatness and flower waist Dai style of Nie Er's mother by exploring the imprint left by Nie Er's mother; to Ailao Mountain in Xinping County, through exploring the relics of the tea horse ancient road that has survived for thousands of years in Ailao Mountain and the magnificent Nan'en Waterfall. Experienced the integration and collision of humanities and nature... These have become the materials for our creations. Zhao Fang said.

The exhibition of "Nie Er and the National Anthem" theme art creation exhibition exhibited a total of 93 works created by 68 painters, covering Chinese painting, oil painting, printmaking, sculpture, comprehensive materials and other categories, including Guo Wei, director of the China Artists Association and vice chairman of the Yunnan Provincial Artists Association, Dai Jie, dean of the Academy of Fine Arts of Yunnan Normal University, Yao Zhonghua, a famous Chinese oil painter, and Zhang Zhiping, former dean of the School of Fine Arts of Yunnan Academy of Arts. Through the exhibition, the audience not only has a deeper feeling for Nie Er's revolutionary spirit and Nie Er's mother's dedication, but also allows the audience to appreciate the simple huawaist Dai national customs and the thick huawaist Dai national culture.

Zhao Fang said that the theme art creation exhibition of "Nie Er and the National Anthem" with Nie Er's portrait, Nie Er's former residence, Nie Er's violin, Nie Er and his friends and other modules, showing Nie Er's growth experience from multiple angles, as well as his musical creation concept and creative process, leading the majority of art creators to learn nie er spirit, in the new historical period with their works to practice their mission, grasp the new needs of the people in the new era, maintain warmth and respect for history, and regard patriotism as the main theme of literary and artistic creation. Use the brush in your hand to leave a rich visual image and spiritual imprint for this era.

In a letter to his mother, Nie Er once said: "I was born for society, I do not want any obstacles to stop or hinder my transformation of society, I want to make a great cause in this human society." Nie Er said this and did the same. From the "Nie Er and the National Anthem" theme art creation exhibition with Yuxi painters as the main body, it can be seen that the art creators of Yuxi are also inspired by this, based on the local heroic image, inheriting the spirit of the national anthem, dedicating the people with fine products, "casting the soul" with images, reproducing Nie Er's spiritual temperament, life scene and spiritual map, paying tribute to Nie Er with their works, and paying tribute to the national anthem!
Zhao Fang said that she hopes that the exhibition can become an important carrier to promote the city to further tell the "story of Nie Er and the national anthem", inherit the red gene, and carry forward the national spirit with patriotism as the core.
