Originally from Yuxi, Yunnan, Nie Er was a musician who went from Yunnan to the world, he opened up the road of new Chinese music and was the pioneer of Chinese proletarian revolutionary music. In his short life, Nie Er composed 42 musical works, including "Graduation Song", "Selling Newspaper Song", "Golden Snake Wild Dance" and "March of the Volunteer Army", all of which are immortal works of historical value.

At the launching ceremony, the "Yuxi Nie'er Culture Research Office" was officially inaugurated.
