On February 14, UMC issued an announcement on its official website that the company's Suzhou 8-inch fab and ship chip manufacturing company are currently cooperating with the local authorities to conduct full testing due to a suspected infection of an employee, so production activities have been gradually suspended, and they will fully resume work after testing with the approval of the competent authorities. The Company reiterates that the outlook for the first quarter performance will remain unchanged, with quarterly average selling prices up 5%, shipments flat, quarterly gross margins of approximately 40%, and a market share of the global foundry industry that will continue to expand, with no significant impact on the Company's financial business.
