Last week, Tesla announced a recall of 578,607 vehicles, the company's 11th recall in a four-month period. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said Tesla's "Boombox" feature allows vehicles to play sound through external speakers while driving, violating federal safety standards that require electric vehicles to make pedestrian warning noises.
