
Zhang Gengao, pen name Chang Tong, no. Lao Gen, born in Xi'an city in 1954, has loved the art of calligraphy since childhood, and has accompanied Lishu calligraphy for a lifetime. The old Ji Futuo, the ambition is in a thousand miles. Teacher Zhang Gengao exhausted most of his life's energy and finally wrote the calligraphy art of Lishu to life.
As far as its Lishu is concerned, there are thousands of Lishu in the world, silkworm head swallowtail is only the most basic form, too many teachers abide by the rules and law, and they are stuck in this and make the Lishu works slightly rigid, and The Lishu of Teacher Zhang Gengao gives the calligraphy works naughty and flexible in the inherent form, and the dignified beauty of the Lishu is suddenly revitalized.
He himself joined the army in 1972, and after 14 years of military training, from soldier to cadre, from newspaper correspondent to reporter, he won many awards for his articles and was commended by the Lanzhou Military Region and the Wuhai City Newspaper in Inner Mongolia.
At the same time, under the enthusiastic guidance of the inner Mongolian Wuhai calligraphers Gao Shigui and Ah Ling Xirattu, he studied European and Yan styles, insisted on several years of cultivation, and then specialized in Lishu, starting from Han Li, Jianying, Cao Quanbei, and then learning Ren Yuling Lishu Ti, and gradually mastered the basic skills, reflecting the elegance of Lishu and the generousness of ancient supplements.
He is currently the director of Chang'an Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute, the honorary director of China Luyi Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute, and the researcher of Shaanxi Charity Research Association.
