Language and writing are the most important spiritual civilizations for both countries, and if you change the script or language at will, it is easy to have a cultural fault like korea. Because of the abolition of Chinese characters, 45% of the citizens in the country have become "semi-illiterate", not only can not understand their history books, but even the country's legal documents are difficult to read smoothly, why is this happening? However, because of its fragile cultural self-esteem, the Korean side resolutely decided to abolish Chinese characters and fully promote "pure Korean culture", which is still working on this until now. The first abolition of Chinese characters was during the Sino-Japanese War, when it began to use a mixture of Chinese and Korean, but due to the backwardness of education and the impact of the war, there were still a large number of people using Chinese characters, and this abolition also failed.
The second time in 1945, with the encouragement of a large number of pro-American elements and the support of the United States, South Korea began to focus on the Korean language and claimed that chinese characters were backward, for which the Korean Special Act was introduced. As a result, South Korea officially entered the situation that primary and secondary school students do not learn Chinese characters, but there are still a large number of Chinese characters in society, and a large number of "semi-illiterate" have been trained. In the end, the Korean officials had no choice but to announce the re-teaching of basic Chinese characters, and the second abolition also failed, until 1961, when the "Korean exclusive" was fully implemented, and all documents and ancient books were translated into Korean.
So did The Third Korea Succeed? There is no doubt that it has failed again, and these three attempts are enough to show how deformed South Korea is, and the dream of replacing the Chinese character ID card is Chinese name.
